Love the way this product goes on, compared to all the other soft ones, where you are always fighting with bubbles and so forth. This thing goes right on and looks perfect. Since it's actually glass, there are no bubbles behind it whatsoever. Had it for basically 5 days, dropped my phone and yes the protector shattered, but my phone screen did not, just like I hoped would happen if I were to drop it. I wrote to the company, and based on the warranty they are replacing the cracked protector immediately. I was also having an issue with my phone not being able to read my fingerprints for the biometric security feature, and they told me to increase my phone screen sensitivity, which I didn't even know I could do, and once I did that and re-entered my fingerprints, it now works perfectly! For the price, this is the only product I'm going to use from now on!!!! I always hated seeing bubbles with the other type protectors, and they would basically get ruined if they would rub up against keys in your pocket or whatever, and this is very robust by comparison!

Review one year later: I've had the second screen protector from this pack on my phone for a little over a year. It hasn't broken yet. Awesome screen protector regarding protection - a Siskel and Ebert, Two Thumbs Up™. The first one from the pack cracked when I dropped the phone from a very low height, but it may have been user error in application - if it was off-center just a little too much, the edge of my phone case may have put pressure on the screen protector, which would increase its chances of cracking when dropped. A year later, I still have the second screen protector from the pack on my phone. I have now dropped my phone MANY times (I have the dreaded perimenopausal dropsies - the horror!!), but the screen protector has never cracked. I dropped my phone while I was walking, and it hit my foot while I was taking a step, so I essentially kicked the phone across the floor. I was in a store, and the floor was hard tile, so the phone hit the hard floor, and skittered away, bouncing multiple times, the screen protector, like the honey badger, didn't care. I actually had to replace the OtterBox phone case once because I dropped the phone on the asphalt in a parking lot, and the hard plastic corner was so chipped that it was scratchy and irritating to hold. This screen protector has held up through all of that. My only complaint at this point is that there are multiple fairly large dust particles that have made their way under the screen somehow (maybe they're just Soot Sprites, and I should be grateful?). They're only visible when a bright light shines on the phone screen, and not when I'm actually using the phone, so it's really not a big deal. I would give this screen protector 4.5 stars if possible, but Amazon doesn't allow partial stars. For the insidious dust-creep alone, I can't give it five whole stars. Original review: I dropped my phone once, from a height of about 2 feet. My phone was in an Otterbox case. The screen protector cracked, so I had to replace it with the second one, but it didn't pop off and my actual phone screen was fine. I guess it did it's job by protecting my phone screen, but I've had tempered glass screen protectors in the past that have survived multiple drops without even a scratch. I guess the stupid curved screen of the LG Velvet is to blame - if it was a flat screen like a normal phone, the screen protector would be able to adhere to the entire screen, instead of only to the edges. I blame the non-adhered air space between the screen and the screen protector for the damage after one minor drop. Still, this should be mentioned in the description as a warning, due to the shape of the phone screen. One other thing, the black outline around the edge of the screen protector is actually too wide. It blocks the top edge of the notification bar by a hair - if it's positioned any higher, in order to not block the edge of the notification bar, then it would overlap the bottom of the front camera lens. The black outline needs to be redesigned to be a little thinner.

Maybe because of the shape of the LG Velvet screen, but I've never had an easier protector to install. Good price for 2, works long enough before you have to order again and highly scratch resistant under normal use. I carry my phone in my bag but I make sure never to put it near keys or things that might scratch. Protector never slips off or pulls up, you have to make sure it is lined up perfectly, apply it once and don't reposition (make sure you aren't shaky handed, have someone else do it if you are) and you won't have any issues. Also, rarely ever drop my phone but on the two times it happened the screen never broke. Some apps I find myself hard tapping the screen, but it's still worth the protection.

I originally gave this product 5 stars, but twice now, I've dropped my phone and the screen protector popped off completely. It does not attach securely enough to the screen. --- It was so easy to install, and no bubbles got under it. It does a great job of resisting fingerprints and smudges, but if it does get dirty, all I have to do is take a dry cleaning cloth and wipe it off. I don't even have to use cleaning spray. One negative is that the fingerprint reader wouldn't recognize my fingerprint after applying the screen protector, but that was fixed when I re-added my fingerprint.

I originally had the Tocol glass screen protector, it did not adhere well (there were audible clicks from the protector pulling away from the screen) and the finger print reader did not work. This product is far and away better. Touch works perfectly as does the finger print reader. No audible clicks as it firmly adhered to the phone. The feel is much better overall.

There aren't many temperglass screen protection options for the LG Velvet or LG flagship phones in general (and since LG is now out of the smartphone business it's going to stay that way), so you kind of have to take what you can get these days. I was worried that the screen protector would come off easily if I changed phone cases often but so far anyway that hasn't happened. The protector fits and matches the shape of the screen well, and I haven't had any issues getting it into my Spiegen Slim Armor Case at all. The fingerprint reader is a bit trickier to get past with the protector installed, but not so difficult that I've felt the need to redo my fingerprints. Nevertheless, that is still an option. My one knock against it however is that when I first put the screen on, it looked pristine, but later under a different light I discovered a large, rainbow streaked bubble that simply can't be worked out. I've had this problem with other screen protectors too, and it is especially common with smartphones that have curved screens like the Velvet and the LG G8 ThinQ before it. So I've decided I just have to live with the bubble, since there's no guarantee that I'll be able to get rid of it or that it won't just get worse if I try to take off the protector and put it on again. Aside from this problem the protector appears to fit perfectly and I don't want to potentially waste the second protector in the box trying to find out. I'm not quite convinced that this protector will spare the screen from damage should it drop, but to be honest, the LG Velvet has almost no bevel at all and most slim cases don't fully protect the curved screen anyway, so I suppose some protection is better than nothing. Guess I gotta roll the dice. I'll update this review should anything change.
