Hella H71070642 Optilux XY Series H1 Xenon Yellow Halogen Bulbs, 12V, 55W 2 Pack

I bought the Xtreme Yellow Halogen bulbs and I only recommend buying this bulb for foglight only. Comes with 2 Yellow Halogen bulbs and fits only for H1 foglight. It's golden yellow and looks exactly like the GT LED golden yellow on many sports cars. When installing, do not touch the bulb glass whatsoever with your fingers as it will leave oil and prints and cause damage in the future to the light. Only touch the silver aluminum when installing it into the H1 insert slot (probably why so many people's bulb light gets burnt real quick). A side note: Be sure to test the bulb first before you clip it into your head/fog light. I know for me when I was testing my new left fog light I had to switch the other Xtreme Halogen Bulb with the other one because it didn't work and now they both work just fine. If one of the new bulb doesn't work, just switch it with the other one and it'll work. Hope this helps when testing it. And I'll keep you guys updated as well to see how long these will last and hopefully, it'll last up to 80,000 miles like it says it would on the description, but I know for a fact that I will not use my foglight much unless it's severe weather like rain, snow, ice, and dark areas. Although it is badass having the fog light on for looks on your car lol

Does the job well as a fog lamp bulb. Nice yellow colour helps in the fog. Not too bright (which will blind you in the fog). As for longevity, time will tell, still good after some months but I don't have my fog lights on constantly so who knows.

As others have said, this bulb is just not yellow enough. I was contemplating doing the Lamin-X film on the fog light lenses but chose these bulbs instead. I really wanted that crisp yellow color but was disappointed by how "weak" the actual color is. These are good, but not what I was looking for. UPDATE: I have been rocking these bulbs since 2013. It's now 2016 and haven't had one burn out on me yet. I'm not one of those people that turns the fog lights on for no reason other than to "look cool," so I guess that's the reason they've lasted this long. As far as the color, they do help in snow and heavy rain much better than standard bulbs and I've come to like/ get used to the color.

Both burnt out in 3 months. No, I did not touch the glass. Reached out to Hella via Amazon for a refund and never got a response. Terrible, do not buy.

UPDATE: Less than 1 month since purchase and installation, the bulbs are pretty much useless at this point. I decided to take them out to inspect the condition and was a little surprised how poor the condition that they were in. The bulbs were still illuminating but not very well. It looks like the yellow paint/coating that they use has burnt completely. See images. Not very pleased and wondering if these can still be returned. Total waste of money. Finally got to use these in the dark and they're don't really do much. Not very bright and definitely not yellow, they're more orange than yellow. In the image, it's close to the color of my turn signal/running lights which are orange. They're also extremely hot so i caution those with plastic lenses, you could probably melt them with how how these get.
