HP Stream 8 (S8-5909US) 8" 32GB Windows 8.1 Tablet - WiFi & T-Mobile 4G - Black (Certified Refurbished)

This is a windows os tablet, I got it to replace my windows 7 tablet, since the baby stepped on the phone and broke the screen, I had to get a replacement since I do online college classes and this works with all my classes. Android tablets just do not support the classes. I like the larger size screen, it does everything a windows laptop will do. I did add a sd card for more storage. This works well most of the time. But I have found with all tablets I have used when the battery gets low the tablet gets a little glitchy but clears right up once the battery has been charged. If you do online school or business this is a good tablet. It has all the features of windows OS and it is small enough to take with you. This also has a slot for a Tmobile sim card and comes with 200 mb of free data for the life of the tablet. It was kind of a pain to get set up and I had to call CS at T Mobile to get it registered it doesn't come with a sim card, but they are easy to get. Once it was set up the tablet works without wifi to check email etc, but 200mb is not much but you can pay for more data if you need it. I mostly use it with wifi but the added sim card is a big plus over my win 7 inch tablet. Over all great table works well and is perfect for school when on the go or when you just do not want to sit in front of a computer. I would suggest ordering a SD card if you do not have one already, and a sim card. This tablet was purchased for reading my college e-books on the road. I was able to upgrade it to Windows 10 with no issues, and also downloaded Adobe Reader to access the ebook files.The only problem was that this tablet didn't come with the T-Mobile SIM Card, as indicated, however this issue was corrected with a partial refund. I'll just have to go in to the T-Mobile store to pick one up, and the service is free unless you need more gigs of memory, so it's not a big deal. The tablet did not come with the owners manual or instructions on how to set up the mobile Internet feature, and that would've been helful. This product was sold as refurbished, so that may be the reason for the missing manual.All in all, the tablet works great, was shipped fast and matters resolved very quickly. I would've given 5 stars, but the minor inconveniences prevented this.

Great product. Size is approximately the same as a junior legal pad, 5in x 8.5in. Unit is far more capable than I had expected. Item included a quick start guide but user or owners manuals are all available on line. Touch screen commands are very user friendly. My wife has a Toshiba that cost 3 times more but the touch screen gives her fits. For a refurbished product, this thing is perfect. My unit shows no signs of previous use or problems.

I bought this for a single-purpose use for my fuel injection application (Husqvarna iBeat), which it handled quite nicely. It turns out it works well enough that I have replaced my laptop for road trips with this, now. I could not distinguish this refurb unit from a brand new one. DealFisher did this one right. I would certainly buy from DealFisher again.

With only 1GB RAM and the slow Atom cpu this is not a very fast pc -- OK for small tasks but very limited on multi-tasking

Only issue is battery life but I'm an avid user otherwise It's great

I am still trying to find my way around the HP Stream. I wish it were easier to use in Tablet mode.
