I gave this as a gift, so am not certain. I believe the one that I received plays Fur Elise.

What size doll would it fit? 17" doll?

Hi Galacticatt, I'm not sure what your question is (Are you looking to put a doll in a chair to fit the music box?) so I measured the height which stands only 7-1/2" up to the top of the thread spool. Incidentally, the width is 6". Seems like a 17" doll would be very large in comparison. Hope this helps.

Does it have the piece of fabric and the scissors as shown in picture?

If I recall correctly it does. I purchased it as a gift for my mother in law, she loves it, and has it in her sewing room.
