Betaine Anhydrous Trimethylglycine (TMG)
I can't give a medical professional review, just my personal experience, but I'm certain that this has helped me with my own health problems, when used as directed in conjunction with the full complement of B vitamins in their most accessible form. The first improvement for me was a slight - but very welcome - improvement in cognition. If you're taking your "B's" and feel you need more, add this and glutathione and see if it doesn't give the boost you need. No one paid me or asked me to review. It is just so difficult - and expensive! - to find what works when you're struggling just to get by. I'm happy I found Betaine Anhydrous TMG and hope it will help you too.

Trusted brand
All of my supplementation in order through nutricost. I have at least a dozen products I use from them and they are all solid. I have nothing bad to say about any of them. This product mixes easy and isn’t a large scoop at all so if you want to take it with just water you can. I mix it with my pre workout and it does the trick. Highly recommend.

Tasty and effective
My jar has a pleasant taste. It's mostly sweet, with a touch of bitter aftertaste. I'm not sure if the bitterness is an artifact from the processing or is inherent in the molecule. And, it definitely does the TMG thing. TMG gives me cognitive clarity but not power.I'm adding this to my ginger-turmeric flavor of powdered supplement tea, and it should add a hint of sweetness to the mix.

Helpped my joints and skin
I took too much niacinamide for more than a year, and I started to bruise very easily, and my joints were having major problems. I could not even kneel without pain and bruising. I could not identify which supplement was doing it. Got lucky, and I heard an expert mention the possibility of high doses of niacinamide stopping or slowing the production of collegian. Well, obviously after hearing that, I stopped taking that. It was very slow recovering. I tried the usual collagen peptides, and other stuff, but Betaine was the ticket. It was by far the most effective. I am now 100%. Well, at least 95%. Still have a little tennis elbow. One thumb I kept jamming and reinjuring, but eventually that healed for keeps. If I just stopped using my right arm for a month, I'm sure it would heal, but that just is not realistic.Unlike many supplements, Betaine tastes good. So that is a plus.I drink it with milk. I add some water to the milk and some Nesquik. The betaine will thicken just a little, and make up for the water thinning the milk. If anything, it is better tasting after it is added.

I like this stuff
I didn't think this would be much different than regular Glycine but I was wrong. I feel very relaxed and able to sleep much easier with a 750mg dose before bed. Sleep has always been a challenge for me. I've always felt more awake at night than during the day. I'm heterozygous MTHFR so maybe this is helping in some way I'm not aware to help me relax. All I know is I really like the effects within this first week taking it. Something I can rarely say for the loads of supplements I've bought over 14 years. If you have MTHFR don't aim for the 1.4g dose advertised, aim for 500mg-750mg to start out.

Easy to mix. keep in mind it does have a slight aftertaste, when I paired it w/ anything other than iced tea or fruit smoothie(no milk).

Surprised at how well it works for me
I did not encounter a smell, as a matter of fact, it has no smell or taste. I sleep better and overall feel better. The powder dissolves easily, I have better energy and the price was good.

Smells like a dead rodent
I've only been taking this for about a week so I can't speak to its effectiveness. What I can comment on is the atrocious smell of the product. It literally smells like a dead animal. The smell nearly knocked me over when I opened the jar. I'm thinking of discontinuing taking it due to the smell as I'm concerned that something had gone off or contaminated it. Beware, if you're sensitive to smells, this is not for you.
