SRAM G2 Brake Pads are exactly what your calipers have been asking for. Designed with different materials for the perfect ride and stopping power under speeds. Reduced grams make for an easier ride uphill. Available in sintered, organic/steel, and organic/aluminum. See below for compound comparisons. Kit Components Each pad kit includes two brake pads, a pad spreader spring, pad pin and clip. Product comes with brake pads per one caliper so you will need to get two kits. Proper Care Instructions Once a compound is used with a rotor, only that compound should be paired with that compound in the future. Brake pads must be replaced if the total thickness of the backing plate and pad friction material is less than 3 mm. The rotor must be replaced if the total thickness is less than 1.55 mm, or when changing pad friction material. SRAM Blended Compound Bike Brake Pads Pictured is our full line of G2 Guide brake pads. Piston Reset Remove wheels from bike, and use a pad spacer to push pistons back into the caliper. This resets the pistons to provide space for the new, thicker pads. Brake Caliper Inspection Remove circlip with needle nose pliers and the pin with a 2.5mm hex wrench. Remove pads from caliper. Clean caliper using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free towel. New Bike Pad Replacement Make super the pad spreader spring is properly installed. Install pads into caliper. Install pin through caliper, pads, and spreader. Install circlip.
