Alfred's Basic Piano Library Lesson Book, Bk 1B: Book & CD (Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Bk 1B)

Great book for beginning student. I am disappointed with the cd though. I should have saved my money and purchased the book alone for less. The book deserves five stars, but I don't like the cd.

I purchased this book for a student, and never considered checking to see if the book started on Page 1. After we got further into the book, we noticed that her completed songs had returned. The book starts on Page 8, goes to 16, and then restarts on Page 8. Because of how books are printed, at the end of the book is the same situation (one page even has only the second half of a missing song!), so the book was printed incorrectly, and we only have half of the music because of this. Very disappointed. Looking for another seller.

We love the Alfred method for learning piano. I feel like these books are a great price at around seven dollars each. I would recommend this method to a friend.

Great books for beginners

Great book for my daughters lessons, some really nice pieces and the cd is a great addition for playing along to.

Alfred are the Best music books, and specially as these tunes are lessons (playable) on the Digital Piano I have just bought, Kawai ES100.Just set the book up on the music rest and select the tune (lesson) from the Piano and away you go, what a great idea,Your kids will love it, maybe a good idea if you are grown up and want to learn from scratch....

For those children who have completed Lesson book 1A this is the next step. Paced really well for the young beginner, children feel they are achieving every week. This is a good course.

The physical quality of this book is very poor. Pages fell out of the book when we opened it. Color of the print is light, like you would see with a photocopy.
