These little bug pots with 5× magnification lenses were a winner with my grandsons aged 2 and 4. They could really see the details of spiders and wood lice. We also found a baby slow worm and a baby grass snake which were released straight away where we found them. I an sure that when the summer arrives there will be lots more of mini beasts to find and study. The pots are hard to open at times. There is a knack to closing them. You need to gently push the lid down anad twist the pot at the same time.

This is a fun idea and I think my 3 year old is going to love it if he ever gets it to work - unfortunately the lid is very difficult to screw on.

Excellent quality, clear and good magnification. Best you can get on Amazon., have had a few. Only issues with this is screwing the top back in can be a bit fiddly.

At first, it's great; however, the locking mechanism is made from plastic, so over time, it'll start to shear off and be unable to close. A shame.

My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves to pick up lady bugs, worms, beetles, etc. We couldn’t find anything at home or in local stores to put them in that allowed them to breathe. This bug jar by Hape Explorers was a big hit! She has so much fun walking around our yard looking for different things to collect. I love that it has a magnifying lid so she can really get a good view of her findings. The wrist strap is an added plus and the size is perfect for kid’s hands. It’s easy to use, and is made of quality, durable materials. I will say, though, smaller insects like ants and earthworms were able to escape through the breathing holes on the lid. Ladybugs & larger insects would not be able to escape.

Une belle boîte pour les petits explorateurs. Une loupe de bonne qualité comme la boîte. Seul petit bémol parfois un peu difficile à fermer si pas bien mis dans le pas de vis. Mais vraiment je recommande la seule qui a tenue dans le temps ici pour une utilisation intensive. Vraiment très robuste

super teil! tut was es soll und die lupe funktioniert prima. die schlaufe ist sehr praktisch. der drehverschluss nur etwas schwergängig für kinder, aber dafür sehr sicher 😎
