Comfort!
I was worried, I brought an extra pair of shoes and socks for a 3.5 mile hike, but I can honestly say these were the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn, I felt like I was barefoot but with extra traction - I loved it! The next day I could feel that I used muscles in my calves and hamstrings that I don’t normally use with regular shoes and I love that! The only drawback was that my feet did get wet, however, they dried very quickly, even with socks (I paired them with Injinji socks) and it didn’t bother me one bit, I just wouldn’t use them in cold weather. Update: 1 year later - May 4, 2025; I still give these a 5-star rating and I will add that I do wear them on all of my hikes except when it’s very cold. Added a random photo taken this past weekend to show they’ve held up very well! Update: 2 years later - April 2026; still going strong through mud, water, stones, sticks, etc. I go hiking pretty much every weekend, and like I said I wear these every time except when it’s too cold. I’ve beaten these up pretty good and they’re holding up really well!

Best hiking shoes for knee pain and balance
I bought these in 2021 and wear them all the time as I am.an avid hiker. I just ordered another pair because these are finally showing enough wear and tear that it's time . I absolutely love my vibrams and have owned several pair of them over the years and keep returning because they are amazing ! Before I started wearing these on my hikes mu knees would start hurting very badly when going down hill and I would really struggle. From day one wearing Vibrams I have bot had any more knee pain at all and also my balance is amazing as well ! It's so nice to feel the ground beneath my feet while hiking , I no longer slip and fall occasionally like I use to . I hughrlu recommend these shoes

Runs small
Update 2: I returned them after another hike. The stitches on the left shoe lacing packet failed rendering them useless. See pic Update: Today I hiked 8 miles in these shoes from Springer Mountain to Amicalola falls (Appalachian approach trail). I was able to wear the Creepers socks after all. I taped my ankles and anywhere the opening would rub. I started to get a blister on my left heel (below the tape), but added more tape before it could form. At about mild 6 I noticed another blister on my outer left pinky toe just beside my nail. Oddly zero blisters on my right foot 🤷🏻♀️. Vibrams have NEVER given me blisters, I think it’s because these are too small even after sizing up. I added a star for the sole, it is better than the KSO’s (which I adore), in that there seems to be more cushion and is very comfortable. That was much appreciated today. The blisters not so much lol. Original Review: I have been wearing Vibrams since they first came out many years ago. I adore them. I do everything in them, run errands, kayak, paddle board, and run in them. I purchased these to hike in. Each new pair always fit beautifully out of the box. I always wear a 38 but after reading reviews I sized up to a 39. I’m really glad I did. These run small. That being said they accommodate my long second toe well, as usual. I like how they look, but I miss the elastic lace system of other styles. The sole is very comfortable and grippier than other styles, but the shoe is borderline too snug everywhere else. It cuts in around my ankle at the very top of the shoe opening. Even when I unlace the top lace hole and tie loosely it cuts in. I had planned to wear Creepers socks with them but I’m not sure I can with how tight they are (I’m wearing them in the photo). I feel like they will give me blisters around the ankle. Recently I have stated KT taping my ankles while hiking. Hopefully that will prevent the blisters. I have a hike coming up and will edit this review with an update after that as to how they do.

Great foot protection while still feeling closer to barefoot than chunky boots
These are phenomenal shoes. If you're looking for great foot mobility without compromising on sole protection these are a great option. I purchased these in anticipation of a coming hiking trip in Hawai'i. I bought them early and wore them everywhere leading up to the trip to break them in. I purchased a bunch of wool toe socks from Injinji to pair with them since I often get blisters or chafe from any shoe. When the time came for the trip, I wore them for each hiking outing on muddy slippery trails with all sorts of obstacles and they held up phenomenally. I had wonderful traction and foothold awareness and because of that I avoided slipping in many places where my spouse ended up inadvertently playing Twister. Funny enough, they became damaged not from the abuse they took on the hikes, but back home where a seam thread on the side got snagged on a low bramble! It hasn't come apart yet as a result so it looks like it should be a simple home repair with a needle and thread.

Best shoes ever!- UPDATE
Update! The review holds true. But I had to add. I just completed minor shoe repair after third time out. The seam started to let go and unravel. Repair isn’t pretty but hopefully this will be the only one I ever do. And why did I bother? Because they’re still the best shoes ever. I have never been able to find trail shoes or athletic shoes in general, that don’t make my toes numb. Until now. These are fantastic!!! Read the description before you buy- these aren’t meant to be super support, memory foam laden 5lb shoes! They are ultra minimalist which is exactly what i need and wanted. No more stiff clunky boots that don’t let you feel the terrain causing rock kicking, foot dragging misery 20 mintues in. The vibram keeps you from slipping and the ability to spread the toes and have the shoe mold to the rocks keeps you on balance. The fact that they are feather light allows you to enjoy the hike instead of wishing it was over so you could take your boots off. Best shoes ever.

Not at all true to size advertised.
Disappointing. I still have these, brand new as I couldn't get my foot into them. Was overseas so when I returned and tried to use them, it was too late to return. I choose the size recommended for my foot size but not at all a fit. Too small.

this mega grip shoes support my barefoot journey
this is my 3rd Vibram five fingers shoes, my 1st pair is KSO very love it, but not friendly if i try to walk with barefeet (not comfortable for normal city walks, but very good for exercising indoors or on grassland - as i've tried to strengthen my bottom of feet by walking/jogging on grass* barefoot). my 2nd pair is another simple KSO with shoe bag for indoor exercises (this support balance and giving more chances to let my bottome of feet to grip hardly (to enhance body/muscle strength). and comes to my 3rd pair of Trek with mega grip which provides more support on arch and feel of bounce when walk or jog. (i'm thinking to transfer to wear Trek shoes for my daily walk from home to office and anywhere i go) But be sure to find size that fit your feet cause it took me few months to return and get right size of shoes world-widely (there's no shop with various selection for Vibram shoes in my location)

Love these shoes!
Got my pair in the mail a couple days ago and I love these! They’re my first pair. I was always skeptical about them (and their odd looks) but decided to try them since I’m fed up with wearing stiff, tight shoes (wides vs regular don’t help) and I hate that squished-toes feeling. Toes need room to wiggle and breathe! These shoes are awesome because they are form fitting but they move with your foot. I love how I can feel the rocks and other stuff while walking but it doesn’t hurt to step on them. They take a few wears to get used to as I’m not used to wearing such “bare” shoes. But I haven’t had any issues with them and I’m ecstatic about them already! So far I’ve used them for a short hike and a walk on a paved trail (gotta break them in slow before taking them on an all-day hike). No issues! I bought them in my size and they’re perfect. Ordered some toe socks to wear with them as they are more comfy with socks.

Great but....
These have opened up the world of walking barefoot to me, for which I'm very grateful as I absolutely love being more barefoot on my walks. BUT... after 6 weeks of use I am developing extreme pain in my left foot, around 2nd toe and under ball of big toe. I can only think the 5 toe design is causing constriction to the way my foot wants to move, thus creating a very intense pain that has only gotten worse with use. I have now had to give up wearing these and am looking for barefoot shoes that don't have the 5 toes separated out to allow my toes to flex and extend more easily. A real shame as I loved these shoes for the first 4 weeks...

Sehr angenehm
Ansonsten Top Schuhe.
