What is the prebiotic in this product?

For those who are not sure what prebiotics actually are: Prebiotics are Probiotics’ favourite food: without them, probiotics cannot thrive. Good bacteria love to feast on prebiotic fibres!

T the prebiotics we have in this product are Apple Pectin and Aloe Vera. Apple Pectin is a prebiotic fibre that has been shown to stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut. A recent study found, when compared to other prebiotic fibres - Apple Pectin stimulated a significantly greater diversity of gut bacteria.
Aloe Vera – apart from being a prebiotic - has been used for over 5000 years by people around the world for a range of ailments. It contains over 70 biologically active components, known for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immune-enhancing properties.

In addition to prebiotics our ActiFlex Gut Health also contains Probiotics, Amino Acids and Flavonoids, Minerals, Digestive Enzymes and Soothing Botanicals.

Do these need to be kept in the fridge?

Thanks for your question. The probiotics in our Gut Health formula are room temperature stable and don't need to be kept in the fridge. Just make sure to keep them away from sunlight or other heat sources.

Question 4

Given the statement each capsule contains 18 ingredients, the amount of each ingredient must be minuscule. So how can they have a positive effect?

I imagine the combination of ingredients as a whole provide the benefits. I have suffered from reflux for years and nothing worked. Gaviscon, Rennies, even omeprazole. I tried these for the first time in March 2021 and haven't had one bout of heartburn/reflux since. I only take 2 a day ( rather than the 4 suggested ) so it makes the bottle last longer. Honestly can't praise it enough
