tried to use it to pump out rain water from a electric motor pit installed below ground. just a toy meant for max 1 to 2 feet of lifting height. my requirement was 4 feet and it was too less efficient and needed replacement.

I ordered 4 of these bilge pumps to put in my Alden and out of 4, only one worked. Literally 3 out of 4 of the pumps were bad straight out of the box. I also ordered 2 float switches off the same brand. They both seem to work but they are not built to last long. Don’t trust your boat to these Chinese generic pumps.

Seems to work just fine, quality equivalent to most. Low profile like the last one so it fits where it's needed, but much less expensive. But, be advised...you cannot run this dry. Very short test probably OK, but that's about it. Auto operation doesn't seems to work that great, but OK for my purposes. I'd never trust auto operation for an open boat since leaves & other crud can jam the impeller.

Does not pump any more water than the 3500 gph model. And if used regularly pump loses power. Expect maximum one year life Typical Chinese junk.
