Is this ok to use for bad knees

It puts a lot of pressure on your whole body as you push up if you are able to fully flex your knees forward and back as when you are in the sitting position you legs are tucked up then you should be able to use it you can go slow but your upper body will feel it

Is there a way to stop it making the squeaky noise?

Also the bolts with nylon locking nuts, should only be tightened so they can still rotate (that's why they are "locking nuts". The machine pivots on the bolts these are used on. If tightened fully will indeed squeak. Have to admit instructions not great.
