Recently motion has been limited to the head turning from side to side.** A: I have bought 2 dogs , one from Amazon, which lasted 1 yr and 2 months. Head slowed down turning. You could hear the moving of gears then finally stopped barking. Emailed manufacturer , no it couldn’t be fixed. Made in China. But they would sell me a discounted one for $120 with free shipping, which I bought. This one had no heart beat to start with and just died 6 months after getting. I got them for my Mom who I care for at home and has Alzheimer’s. I am really debating whether or not to get another. **Q: Will this react or interact with a real dog who may be home alone? Does it require a human to do somerthing or can it be turned on, left and work?** A: One must interact by petting, squeezing etc for the puppy to react. It would ' go to sleep ' left alone with a real dog. My guess is that any real dig would destroy it. The directions are soecifb on how to get it to do certain things. It will bark fir a time but that's it. I feel it's fore humans not live dogs. **Q: How long do the batteries usually last?** A: We are still on the first batteries. We gave it to Mom on Christmas Day.
