Quilters Dream Orient Blend Select Batting (122'' x 120'') King

This has become my go-to batting for baby blankets and other quilts. It is low loft and puffs a little bit, but don't expect the puffiness you get with polyester batting. It has amazing drape and is both breathable and warm. It is easy to work with right out of the package -- it doesn't wrinkle and distort like polyester bating does. Be aware that it does shed like a hound dog -- I went over my last project with a reusable lint brush at regular intervals to keep from getting the shedded fibers in the lines of quilting. I believe that most of the shedding was from the unfinished edges as I quilt ed before binding -- although there was a tiny bit of bearding. I quilt with cotton thread, so that is definitely a contributor to the bearding. I now buy this in the king size, which is enough for 4-6 baby blankets....

It came on time and it is easy to work with. It was recommended by a quilt designer who's quilt I'm working on. The end result was beautiful

I love this batting! It has the most wonderful soft drape, I love it! Keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer without the bulk.My kids prefer dream puff for the quilts I make them as they don’t care about the drape of the quilt!It makes a very light quilt, so if you are looking for a stiffer, heavier quilt, this may not be the one for you!

Lovely lightweight batting. Quilted up wonderfully in a king size quilt.
