Couldn’t do without it works great

We recently moved and the first time we tried to use our new had fireplace the key broke and we had to call the gas company to come out and turn it back off. They suggested buying a new one and we were thrilled the same brand was available on Amazon! Super easy to use and seems more durable than the original

Great quality, fast service

Worked perfectly for my gas firepit!

I point this out with the dissimilar metals because a local shop that has a fire pit asked me to "fix" theirs by welding it, and well, you can't weld steel to aluminum. I tried to weld it with my Miller TIG welder and stainless 304 filler rod, that was, well entertaining. The reason they have a low star count is they are glued together and at the local shop, the valve that these are used on it about 6" inside the stone structure. The nut on the end would regularly get stuck inside the structure, and trying to retrieve it was frustrating, to put it politely. These could be made of the same metal, likely cheaper than they are now, but welded together to solve the problem of them coming apart and complicating things. Sure they work, but don't drop it or break the glue bond, otherwise it'll be headache to try and retrieve the nut from inside a structure.

IT WORKS! We moved into our house a year and a half ago with no fireplace valve key and a constant smell of natural gas coming from it. I decided on a whim to order this, not even expecting it to match the valve in color. It works and it matches! Double bonus! Wonderful product, made sturdy and beautifully.

I purchased a "universal key" 5/16" + 1/4" and the outside diameter of the socket was tool large and wouldn't engage the Dante gas valve. I returned the key and purchased a Dante key and it works perfectly.

Looks nice, works well, and arrived quickly

The end is pretty beefy which fits just fine in my larger gas assist valve opening. I can see if a smaller pen sized gas opening is used how this will not fit in there - be mindful of that. Otherwise, the metal has some heft and is a proper key for opening and closing the valve. Style options are a bonus and the Satin Nickel variant I chose is the perfect match for our purposes.
