DV8 Manual Shift Knob for 2007-2010 Wrangler JK 6-Speed Billet Aluminum

I bought this and the 4WD shift knob too. They both look really cool and feel good to the hand. Easy install. Original knob just pulls off. This one has a set screw under the rubber surround on the knob. Gently lift rubber band off the knob and tighten up the set screw with a hex key. Too easy. Great add on.

Love the feel, weight, materials and details in the knob. I bought this one to make a custom shufter for my XJ and wanted a good shifter and this company sells the shufter for the auto XJ too and both feel great and love the tread detail. Only wish it had mentioned where the set screw was I was aimlessly looking but it's under the tread pattern. Otherwise great product.

Good fit easy install and a nice addition

I trimmed this down and bored the inside so I could fit it in my 1979 CJ5 T15 transmission lever. Works and looks great. I like having the set screws on the top. I wish DV8 made more CJ stuff.

This is a nice alternative to the OEM shift knob. However, it would've been nice to have installation instructions. I had to contact DV8 to find out the Allen screw under the rubber tread around it. It is well-constructed and looks better than stock.

I got this to replace the factory shifter knob on my 2012 Wrangler. The OE knob started rattling after the internal spring clip got damaged when I removed it to do some under-console work. Of course, I had to also get the matching transfer case shift knob. This looks really nice in the Jeep. I was never a big fan of the "plasti-chrome" look of the OE knobs, so the plain black knob and simple white shift pattern was a welcome change. As far as feel goes, this knob is steel and rubber, and so has a nice "heft" and solidity to it. The rubber tread around the knob provides a nice grip for the hand. There is a slight difference in diameter, compared to the factory knob - the new one is a tiny bit smaller. But this isn't really a negative, it's just a little different. Like other reviews have stated, there is a "super-secret" lock bolt under the rubber strip that is used to secure the unit against the shaft (heh heh), and it takes a little patience to peel back the rubber without scratching the metal. But, ultimately, no biggie. Also as mentioned in other reviews - this knob is *cold* on wintry mornings, so wear gloves if that's a big deal. However I expect it will be a little cooler in the summer months, once those arrive, so that makes up for it. Just try not to leave it in direct sunlight, or cover it with a towel or something. Anyway, I recommend this knob, as well as the matching transfer case knob. Good stuff.

Fit my jeep exactly.

I got my factory knob off and went to install this DV8 knob. Only problem was it just spun and slid right off. I was expecting it to mount back the same way w/o using a set screw. I was set to return it, then decided to call DV8, and he said it's a call they get all the time. You need to pull the rubber tire off use a set screw for the replacement. It takes a 7/32" I believe. I should have read the description b/c it's in there. If you're reading this now you don't have to.

I love the look of this shifter knob. Its grippy and easy to install. The major downfall for me is that I have a 2009 four door wrangler and when I went to change over the knob, the inside doesn't fit with the stick. What I mean is the end of my gear stick is narrow and fits something like a rectangular shape, like there should be a slot it fits into inside the knob. Unfortunately the knob is just empty on the inside and therefore the stick doesn't fit snuggly into it but rather vibrates around it. Maybe I did something wrong, I have no idea but there were no instructions or extra anything in the package.
