Signal from outdoor unit to indoor unit stopped working after less than a month and a half.
The wireless weather station that I received was not new and looked like it had been returned by some another customer. The instructions on how to install the batteries were fine but the instructions on how to set the time/date/language were terrible. They were incomplete and confusing. It took many tries before I was able to set the year. Perhaps that is why someone had returned it. After I installed the batteries in both the outdoor unit and the indoor unit, I noticed that the 2 units did not display the same temperature or humidity. The numbers were close though. There was no guidance provided on where to set the outdoor unit.I have to lower my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. I have used it for less than a month and a half. The signal from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit stopped working today. I tried new batteries and it did not make any difference.

I'm returning it
Indoor Outdoor Thermometer - Wireless Weather Station + Remote Sensor. Monitor Home: Temperature, Humidity, Forecast + Clock / Alarm. Excellent Digital Home Weather StationI gave it one-star because it didn't work. The one I was sent may not be representative of this product, but it's all I have to go by. However, I was impressed by the video of how to use it. In fact, it was only after viewing the video that I decided that the problem was definitely with the product and not with my lack of understanding of how to use it.Other thoughts: There was no transparent cover on the screen. There is supposed to be. This causes me to believe that it MAY have been sent to someone else before it was sent to me. The problem I had with it--there may be more--was that I could not set the time, date, month, or year. I followed the instructions, but that didn't help. Finally, I MIGHT take a gamble and order the same product again. It seems reasonably made, the price is right, and even the best products sometimes produce lemons. I'm thinking about it.

YOU'LL even KNOW when it is FULL MOON and can HOWL with the dogs
Who would have thought one would spend time looking at a thermometer several times a day...but it's fun to see if the iPhone and the thermometer with all the extras actually jive. I truly enjoy seeing the moon phases and there they are on the screen! Note: I had a couple of dogs that loved howling at the moon, especially at full moon...so I joined in because I was told that as a dog's "pack leader" you should howl with them. OK, a bit crazy, but it was so much fun. My neighbors didn't care, bless their hearts.OK...back to the product... You can see cloud coverage, rain, sun, sun and clouds, etc. Nice touch. Be sure you put the outdoor one where there is no direct sun, under the eves is recommended. Yes, it gives the temp and the humidity plus the day, the date and the time of day down to the second. There is one minor thing I would have liked and that is a back light to make it easier to read. BUT I GOT MY MONEY'S WORTH. It's a good price!

Failed after a month - just after the return period!
The outdoor unit seems to be the weak link for this product. I got the product and set it up. It worked great, and I was very happy with it. I loved knowing precisely what the temp was outside at any point and doing comparisons of humidity inside and out.Unfortunately, after just about a month I noticed the outside unit was no longer being received by the indoor one. I brought the two back together, I changed channels, nothing. Then no longer pair. It looks like the outdoor unit is still working, just not about the send information to the indoor one, which makes it pretty much useless to me.I also noticed that when I brought the outdoor unit inside that part of the plastic had warped. Now yes it had been hot (maybe 90 degrees) and it was not in the shade, but isn't this what it is meant for?Really wish it would work as I loved the capability. But unfortunately it doesn't seem to be built to last.

Do Not Buy This Unit Unless You Only Care About Centigrade
Do not buy this unit if you live in the United States. It is meant for countries that use Centigrade. The product description is misleading. It does not tell you that the readout on the remote unit can only display C, not F. At one time the remotes included a C/F switch (it's in the instructions), but at some point along the line the manufacturer apparently removed the switch from the production line to save a few pennies. The main unit defaults to C as well. Note that anytime you change the battery just removing the battery cover is insufficient. You will have to disassemble the unit (6 tiny screws) every time. I would return this unit but I already threw away the box. I emailed the seller but apparently they are not sufficiently interested in the US market to respond.

The "Instructional Manual" is a small piece of paper with the type size so small you just about need a magnifying glass. It also lacks some of the most important instructions like setting that small switch within the transmitter to make it work, also missing how to disassemble the transmitter to insert the batteries. Finally figured it all out, got it to work and it lasted two weeks before it quit altogether. Would've returned it but already disposed of packaging. Probably a good thing it's no longer available, maybe the manufacturer finally realized it's a piece of junk.

Good quality indoor/ outdoor weather station
Good quality indoor/ outdoor weather station. Not always accurate on predicting the weather, but I presume it is barometric pressure based. Seems to run the batteries down more frequently than I expected. Have replaced them twice in 6 months. A little larger than I expected.

Love these! We have had two of these all winter, one in the kitchen and its mate outside. The other main one in the living room and it's mate in the crawl space under the house. They work great. The only thing we need to do is replace the batteries.
