I understand it's been used in China for a variety of things. Resveratrol is one of the components. I use it as a treatment for Lyme Disease. I am following Stephen Buhner's protocol. He feels the whole herb is more beneficial than just the resveratrol. Also, resveratrol alone, in the quantity needed to treat Lyme, made my heart beat irregularly. The whole herb is a whole lot cheaper, too.
