## Description

In Arcadia Quest, players lead guilds of intrepid heroes on an epic campaign to dethrone the vampire lord and reclaim the mighty Arcadia for their own. But only one guild may lead in the end, so players must battle against each other as well as against the monstrous occupying forces. Arcadia Quest is a campaign-based game for 2 to 4 players, where each player controls a guild of three unique heroes, facing off against the other players and the various monsters controlled by the game. Players need to accomplish a series of quests in order to win each scenario and choose where to go next in the campaign. Players are able to choose the path their campaign takes, navigating through six out of eleven available scenarios, so each time the campaign is played it can have a different configuration of scenarios. As the campaign progresses, the heroes are able to acquire new weapons, equipment and abilities that give them powerful options to tackle the obstacles ahead. Furthermore, by fulfilling specific quests in a scenario, players unlock exclusive features in subsequent scenarios. A campaign guide has a number of scenarios to choose from and each time you start a new quest you can mix these up to create a fresh game. Each player can choose three different heros (which forms that player's guild) with their own unique abilities which can be enhanced by some of the equipments found throught their journey of arcadia quest. Common quests and loot drops ensures constant battles not only with the common enemy (the various monsters) but also among the players which ensures fun player interactions throughout. As one progresses in the game the monsters as well as the other players become harder to kill to the point where you would be praying for a decent roll to at least not get killed in an attack that you started. This is where the game really shines for me. The combat system is pretty well structured and it makes total sense. The use of portals to jump around the map, opening and closing doors that affect line of sight, letting your guard down while moving from a space close to a monster and getting attacked in return, overkills (a system where in if you get a particular number of hits, you instantly kill the monster withought having to defend yourself from their counter attack). It all makes sense. All in all this is a very solid game which is always fun to play. Mixing up different scenarios each time you start a new quest keeps the game fresh. And then there are loads of expansions to add on to the fun. If you are looking to get into an easy campaign-based table top miniatures game with high player interaction then this should be the one for you.

I have yet to play it with someone who does not love it. We played it much more than I actually expected to. When my wife and I are bored, rather than vegging out on the couch watching TV we play this game. The quality of the miniatures are excellent and the game play is so much fun you forget about the long set-up. Setting up the scenarios is the only problem, but that is only when you first do it. After a couple of scenarios you get a system down and you are looking forward to the game so much you don't think about how much work it is to set up. At least that has been my experience. I don't think I can recommend this game enough. I am looking forward to getting the expansion Beyond the Grave next month, and Arcadia Quest: Inferno (hopefully in October). Anyone worried about not getting enough since missing out on the Kickstarter and all the Kickstarter exclusives, don't. In my opinion they (the Kickstarter exclusive characters) would be awesome to have, but this game is amazing as is.

Arcadia quest is a very elegant and simple campaign-based table top miniatures game. Sobre el envío: 5/5 llegó muy rápido y en excelentes condiciones Sobre el juego: 5/5 me aventuré a comprar este juego debido a las reseñas que vi y puedo decir con satisfacción que ha sido una de las mejores compras que he hecho. Aunque se usa el idioma es muy fácil de entender hasta para los que no hablan mucho en inglés. La calidad de las cartas es muy buena, el arte es atractivo y las miniaturas son excelentes, ¡dan ganas de pintarlas con solo verlas! El juego está pensado para jugar una campaña pero se ha implementado un modo desafío el cual es igual de atractivo. El juego se divide en dos vertientes jugador contra escenario y jugador contra jugador, lo cual hace que las partidas sean muy dinámicas y divertidas. El juego puede asustar a los novatos, ya que parece que tiene muchas reglas pero la verdad es que es tan fluido que se entienden muy fácilmente y con sólo jugar unos minutos todo se vuelve muy claro y fácil de aprender. Incluso jugando con erratas se vive un buen momento y nunca se siente roto. El único punto negativo que tiene es que el set up es un poco tardado pero vale la pena 100% En tiendas el juego es muy costoso, en español aún más. Realmente creo que por este medio es la manera más fácil de hacerse con este juego que debería estar en la ludoteca de todos los jugones.
