WHat are all the ingredients?

Wheat dextrin - Gluten-Free less than 20ppm (gluten)

Back in 2009 dr. andrew weil discouraged use of benefiber because of its artificial additives. What are all its ingredients, active and inactive?

I did a little research before answering, I neither saw, nor found any artificial ingredients in benefiber. They switched to wheat dextrin from the guar gum they used to use, in order to boost fiber content, wheat dextrin is a soluble fiber extracted from wheat starch, benefiber helps reduce cholesterol,reduces risk of heart disease, and type 2 diabetes. It contains 20ppm,(parts per million) gluten,and so is considered gluten free, if you have problems with gluten, they recommend you do not use it. There is no evidence that wheat gluten is harmful. I personally take benefiber every day, and would not be without it, but, everyone is different. If you are worried that it may interact with any meds you take, you can go to Drugs.com to check. I hope this helps, you can type in wheat dextrin on your computer and read for yourself, there is too much info for me to type, just tried to give you the highlights. I have never heard of Dr. Andrew Weil, and did not research him, I have taken the product myself for years with no problems, and so did not feel the need to do so, the very best person to discuss this with if you are still unsure, is your family doctor.
