WiseWays Herbals: Salves for Natural Skin Care, Lemon Balm Salve 2 oz

I don't usually write reviews unless I really love something or hate it. This product has blown me away. I came to amazon to get some clear cold sore covers so I can mask the ugly cold sore I felt myself starting to get. I saw this instead and all the raving reviews and order this instead. I got this so quick (love amazon) that I was able to PREVENT the cold sore from even coming out. a few days later I felt it in a different spot (persistence, I tell ya) and I immediately ran to this, and again, I never got a cold sore. Amazing. The second test- My boyfriend had a cold sore. And he got to a bit late (before I could remedy him like the loving and amazing SO that I am), it was the second day where it was starting to blister up, I put this on his lips before he left for work and gave him a few qtip filled of this to apply during the day. The next morning it was still a little bad, starting to break open.. we continued to put on the lemon balm salve and I swear, but afternoon it was healing. No more open wounds, no more blisters. Just a little red and irritated.. like it was raw skin healing. I am so so so impressed. This is a must have to any medicine cabinet of anyone who suffers from the occasional cold sore (apparently 80% or so of us). Works better than anything I have ever seen. The ONLY downside.. It naturally contains a lot of citronella, which in my opinion isn't the most pleasant to have on your lips, right under your nose. But its worth it regardless. the upside to that, I am sure it would make a great insect repellent!

This WiseWays Lemon Balm Salve is my miracle in a jar. This is second jar and I will continue to buy it as long as it is available. Recently, I found I had some kind of rash on my thigh. I am not sure what I got into...I am allergic to all kinds of things. I decided try this balm since my brother and sister-in-law swear by the healing properties of lemon balm. Well. I gotta say, I was blown away by how well this worked. Within days, the rash went from angry red and itchy to pale pink and I would say it took no longer than a week before it was completely gone. The balm is thick--think petroleum jelly for consistency--and it smells pleasant. I don't know how it would do with other types of skin irritations, but for my own purposes, it felt like a miracle.

I love this stuff. I use it at least a couple times a week on my lips like a moisturizer or lip balm. I keep it in my purse for those windy days especially. Since I purchased this product 6 months ago because of a cold sore problem I had I haven't had another problem since I started using this and this helped the one I already had heal faster and helped ease the pain a bit. I'm sure that since I've started using this it has prevented me from getting any more. I recommend for anyone who has problems with cold sores and who would prefer a natural remedy and prevention method. I'm definitely glad I ordered this and it has lasted me over 5 months and I probably won't need to order it again for at least another 6 months. I would probably order the pack of 3 once I do run out just because it's so good to have. I recommend this product for anyone even those who don't get cold sores because it has a nice smell and moisturizes nicely and who knows, maybe it could prevent you from ever getting them.

I had a cold sore on my lip which pop ups every now and then. I was sick just recently and on antibiotics so I guess that was why it came out. I got this too late to nip it in the bud but used it while it was in full flare and it healed it up really fast. It worked great keeping it from getting worse and it helped it soften the scab and made it go away quicker. I will have this for the next time at the first sign. You only need a tiny bit so it will last a very long while. I also took some L-Lysine as soon as I felt it cropping up. I really hate fever blisters. This is one thing I can do. Note: The only con I can tell about it is that it is very liquidy..It's gel-like a little but needs something more. It needs a little something to make it more solid. Good salve tho.

This stuff is magic!!! I bought this one year ago and apply it every morning over my lip tint., thats it..once a day and done, and I just realized its been a YEAR!! I haven't had a fever blister in 1 year!!! Through my stress, eating acidic and spicy stuff, no breakouts at all!! This stuff is amazing!!! And 1 container will last you well over a year, maybe even 2!!! A little goes a long way!! Very highly recommend!!!!

My young daughter just got out of the hospital from a severe case of EBV. Her tonsils were so swollen her throat closed up. On the fourth day there, (also right after prayer and fasting)- i ended up putting cayenne ointment on her feet to get the lymphs moving, and this lemon balm cream on her neck. She soon quit crying from pain and to our surprise no more pain meds were needed. I reapplied a couple more times w/ some repeat applications, and i kid you not- by the next morning her tonsils were back to normal. The Docs and I were all shocked. I used this cream on my lyme child the very same week, who broke out in a big body rash right after eating a smidge of dairy in a potato soup. It was gone by morning, but 30 min later there was a definite difference where i applied the cream! I had to come back on here and say i am sold on this now! For the record, my lip-demons hatch maybe once every few years, always during a time of extreme stress. Anyway, the lemon balm seemed to soothe the little monster, and it appeared to heal faster. But I couldn't say for sure. Since that time I've used lemon balm on various bites and allergic skin reactions. It really helps. A new sore broke out two days ago. I put lemon balm on it as soon as I felt that tell-tale tingle. I kept it saturated. It never grew beyond its starting size. Day two it started to peel, the stage right before the sore typically scabs over. Kept it swimming in lemon balm and it never got any bigger. By the evening of day two I could feel it was dying. Day three -- no growth, no scab -- just healing skin. This stuff works in my opinion, and it's a helluva lot cheaper than what you buy at a drug store -- plus you get plenty of it.

This is my first order of WiseWays Herbals Lemon Balm Salve, but it won't be my last! I love the aroma, which is lemony, but not overpowering, and the texture. Lemon balm is also known as "Melissa Officinalis", which is one of the more expensive essential oils because of its multiple uses and overall health value, like frankincense. Lemon balm is used more extensively in Europe than the U.S., and they value it for its sedative-like calming effects. It is used to treat anxiety, ADHD, colic, as well as counter depression. Lemon balm has antiviral properties and may be used on bug bites and skin breakouts. I use it at night to induce a calm sleep. I place a tiny bit on the soles of my feet, where the pores are larger and the salve is more readily absorbed. I sleep like a baby. One of the things that impresses me about this company is their integrity. Each ingredient is listed on the bottle, as well as the Lot #, which indicates that they are concerned with public safety and compliant with recalls, should the need arise.
