I'm not seeing the value here.** A: There are plenty of advantages to this if you know how to use it. Swapping with a known good relay will only tell you if the issue is the relay or not. This will allow you to check the power and ground to the relay while leaving it plugged in, this way you can check the voltage in a completed circuit. Example would be power wires with relay unplugged will show 12v, same wire with the relay plugged in could be 5v because of resistance on the wire, or ground wire can read 0ohms like there is nothing wrong but if you plug the relay back in there could be voltage on it indicating a bad ground.
