The mug has multiple benefits as well as looking good. Although it fits in a cup holder in the car, I rarely take drinks with me. I use it for my morning coffee at home because I drink a big cup rather slowly while I fiddle at the computer or read the paper and really value that the coffee stays hot to the last sip. I got my first of this mug style (although all stainless steel) in a gift bag when I bought a new car. I loved that mug so much I wanted another since I tend to drink my morning coffee in any of several places and have been known to leave the empty mug there so it wasn't near my coffee machine the next morning.Do you think I could find another like it? I looked and looked, but there were none to be had at that time. Finally I bought another through the car dealer. Still I knew I could use a third, and I was thrilled to come across this good looking version. I know from experience that the mug lasts since the first one is still in use after 10 years. I almost never close the slide on the top so can't report on whether you could hold it upside down and have no leakage, but I do know that the mug doesn't leak when drinking or when tipped if retrieved in good time. Since the inside is stainless steel it's easy to clean. The top cleans decently with a sponge, but after a while I may need to 'refresh' the air hole with the end of a paper clip as it can get clogged over time. The top fits securely and is easy to put in place and remove. It just slides in tightly rather than screws in.The bamboo finish is good looking and stands up to washing without any discoloration.
