Gets 3V where you need. Excellent for testing and troubleshooting if you do not have a power supply or batteries handy, or are working on the bare motherboard. A bit cheap feeling but the price reflects that.

First Day - Works Well!
It is as advertised. I have yet to check the advanced features, and it works very well, albeit with a knockoff console (KF GB Boy Colour).

It does the job
I bought this to use with my 25 year old Game Boy Color. The good news: The power adapter does the job. Keep in mind, however, that the cord is only 39 inches long, just over three feet. Once you plug the adapter in and connect it to the console, the cord feels quite short. If you don’t use an extension cord, you’ll need to sit rather close to an outlet.The cord is also a bit stiff - It’s hard to adjust the placement of the cord while playing the console, so it can be a little uncomfortable. If you move the console around to much while playing, the adapter cord can also slip out of the console power port - You’ll lose power in the middle of a game.Personally, I prefer to use rechargeable batteries while playing. If you prefer to use an adapter, though, this one is inexpensive and it works.
