Laurence King Alice's Wonderland 1000 Piece Puzzle

Really lovely picture, and great quality puzzle. Excellent gift for someone who's a Tudors fan. On the back of the poster in the box, they also include a key to all of the references that were drawn, which was really awesome. The puzzle has a really nice soft matte finish. It's very similar to Apple's packaging if you're familiar with that. It does, however, leave the sensation of a residue on your hands sometimes. The pieces fit together well. They are cut with your standard tabs/blanks pieces. It's not the most challenging puzzle because of the design, but it's still a fun one to do. The puzzle box is really nice quality and has a very mild linen finish. On the edge, they have each of the characters drawn out and labeled. The box itself doesn't have the same finish as the puzzle pieces (linen versus soft matte). It also doesn't have the full picture on the box; however, the poster insert does if you want a guide to go off of. Laurence King uses a standard box layout, so they all look good next to each other! The World of the Tudors is a giftable, good quality puzzle that is fun to put together in a group. With two beheadings, a burning at the stake, numerous members of royalty and other historic figures, it also sparks some discussions. A few false fits kept it challenging, as did an edge piece that wasn’t found until the puzzle was nearly completed. When sections were put together, it was difficult to keep them together and move them into place, but this may be at least partially due to the card table’s surface. The included poster of the artwork was much appreciated, as was the guide to the identities of the people depicted. After purchasing The (much gentler) World of Jane Austen as a gift, I took my time considering two Laurence King puzzles for myself and the bright colors, variety of settings, and large number of characters (including Shakespeare) of The World of the Tudors made it an easy decision in the end.

This was my first puzzle by Laurence King and definitely will not be my last. This was puzzle perfection. The pieces reminded me a lot of JUMBO but even better quality, sturdy, nice thickness, absolutely defect-free. The image was gorgeous and the puzzle felt like it just put it self together. The puzzle came with a HUGE poster with tons of information and explanation of all the items in the puzzle on the backside. Even a novice puzzle will do well with this puzzle as the colors are well-defined and there are many great colors and patterns to work with. This would be an exceptional gift for any puzzler you know. I highly recommend this one.

Alice's Wonderland is an absolutely adorable and fun puzzle. The illustrator is amazing, creating a beautiful, clever piece of artwork. This is my 5th Laurence King puzzle, which I find to be of exceptional quality. Stay with the Tudors, Shakespeare, Brontes, etc. and avoid the Agatha Christie puzzles which are very dark in color and full of ugly people.

Great for teaching some history, but a little morbid for entertainment purposes. I do puzzles to cheer myself up - and this is not a good puzzle for that. Though the puzzle does not show a lot of blood and gore, this puzzle depicts multiple beheadings as well as a person being burnt alive... plus someone dying in bed from sleeping sickness, someone being killed on the battlefield, all of King Henry's wives most of whom he murdered, multiple coffins, blood letting to treat disease, etc. So the puzzle was wonderful to complete and looks beautiful, but after all those unpleasant images and the reality of Tudor history (which is even worse if you look it up).... it all left me with a terribly sad feeling. I guess I have far more empathy than I realized! So this puzzle is great for learning history and for history buffs, but if you need a puzzle to cheer you up and you don't want to focus on death - buy something else.

This was by far one of my favorite puzzles to put together. Challenging but in the best way. Sadly it was missing one piece so that kind of ruins it. Grrr. I have done several Laurence King puzzles and they are of very good quality and this is the only one to ever had a missing piece

This was my first Laurence King puzzle, and it was a lot of fun but challenging. The artwork is really nice and very detailed. It comes with a double-sided poster-one side is the puzzle image and the back is a key explaining who all of the people are and other symbolism in the picture. It also comes with a resealable plastic bag so you can store the pieces for your next build.

High quality. Low to medium difficulty especially when compared to their “World of” series. Waxy texture similar to Cloudberries without the linen imprint. Standard ribbon cut shapes but a majority of them are 2 ins 2 outs. Very colorful and whimsical. Some pieces stuck together and a couple of tabs were delaminating. Medium to high ability to move small to medium sections without crumbling.

Wunderschöne Zeichnung mit tollen Farben. Mit so einem Puzzle kann man auch Neulinge beglücken oder Leute, die zu mehreren an einem Puzzle arbeiten wollen. Durch die Aufteilung in einzelne Farbhintergründe gibt es schnell viele Erfolgserlebnisse. Die große Vorlage, fast so groß wie das Original, erleichtert zusätzlich das Zusammensetzen und ist auch noch eine visuelle Freude.

This was one of my favourite puzzles to work up. Good quality and an unusual illustration.

I really enjoyed doing this gorgeous puzzle. I loved that the image is very detailed, the colours are bright and it comes with a big poster at the back of which you could find some curious facts about the Tudor times. The pieces fit well together and don't bend easily. The puzzle box is square and not too big but quite sturdy. Overall the whole product is of a high quality and very good value for money. I already have 3 puzzles from that series and I'm planning to buy more as I'm collecting them.

Not really challenging but adorable! For those who are fond of Tudors and those who are not. There is a poster with historical explanation for each character (very nice surprise indeed). Perfect qualities and colors. Worth every cent:)))) highly recommended
