Value and quality in one
These are the strings my concert Kala came with, and I continue to buy them. I am pretty hard on my uke. I play for a couple weeks all day at a music camp, I play all day while boating, etc. I also play with various, much-louder instruments, so I tend to go hard on my strings. I always bring an extra set of strings with me, but it always feels silly, and extra bulky (with a winder and nail clippers), because I have yet to break one!

Great feel, great sound!
I'm still a beginner with the uke but I've purchased these a couple of times. They look and feel great. Very comfortable and have a nice sound. They settled in quickly and hold their tune very well.

The Best Ukulele Strings
They sound absolutely amazing! and besides some string noise, the low g doesn’t stick out much. Takes a little while to break in though, so you might be retuning a lot at first.

Bright, Stays in Tune Great
These are great strings. They're a littler stiffer than others, and I found that using small pliers to hold the end while tying on the knots to the bridge was helpful. Otherwise they were easy to put on. The stability is amazing; they were staying in tune after only a day with no special stretching, which is much faster than I've experienced with other strings. I've got these on a mid-range Luna concert uke, and they sound good, but much brighter than I'm used to, especially the two highest strings. Not bad, but takes a little getting used to. I'm using a lighter touch when strumming, which does the trick. When I play these with a guitarist or on a track with guitar, the brighter sound works much better and seems less likely to get lost in the mix, especially with a steel string guitar.

The best ukulele strings made IMHO
Always great for replacement strings for Uke.

Did not work well for me
These strings offered an ok sound, but it was the ‘feel’ that did not work for me. Admittedly, sound is in the ear is the beholder and every instrument responds differently to various strings because of wood quality and construction, but I couldn’t get used to the feel. While the strings were smooth and a lovely white color, they were very hard feeling. The hardness made them feel like they had a high tension. I first noticed the unusual inflexibility when stringing them. The 2nd and 3rd strings are especially lacking pliability. The thickness of the C string tends to make it ‘thud’ too much on my ukulele. The manufacturer says on the package that they are aiming for tuning stability and durability. I think they nailed that, but at the cost of a string that is not as soft and supple. I appreciate a string with more flexibility and smaller gauge. I don’t know the diameters of these strings (not on package) but they are thick. Probably great strings for a heavy strummer or a person who rarely changes strings. Since they don’t stretch like nylon or fluorocarbon, they maintain their voice longer and don’t fray as easily. For playing with more finesse and articulations, these aren’t my best choice.

Top of the line Aquila Nylgut strings
These strings are the newest formula for the Aquila Nylgut series. Like all strings, the sound will depend upon what materials were used in making your instrument body and the shape of the body. They may sound better for finger picking or for strumming. You just have to try the various strings to find out. However, these strings were made to limit the stretch time and I like that. My uke is not quite ready for it's 6 month restring but I'll try these strings then. It's a concert size uke built with spalted maple (laminate body). I'll revise my review if needed at that time.

Very nice tone, they feel smooth
Switched from standard Nylgut to Super Nylgut. I like the tone of these strings, and they definitely feel more smooth compared to the standard Nylgut. Fits on my concert Donner ukulele DUC-1 (very inexpensive ukulele).

Suavds y cómodas. Un sonido envolvente, puede que o demasiado brillante, pero es lo que buscaba. Si buscas cuerdas para hacdr rasgeos con volumen, no son las más adecuadas. Perfecto para arpegiar y hacer melodías.

I have Aquila super nyglut strings on a Mahalo soprano uke that they came with. It's been 6 months of casual (almost daily) playing and they still sound good, actually better now that they are settled. They stay in tune now and sound bright and happy. So I bought them to also try on my concert uke (the old Donner model that is similar to Enya Nova) and they sound okay but I prefer clear nylon strings on my concert uke, for a more mellow sound. They're also less comfortable to play on my concert uke than the clear nylon strings. But on the soprano Mahalo they're a perfect fit and the sound just works.

Lovely sound, good quality as well. Fitted on to my concert Ukulele and has improved the sound.
