Goldwood Sound GW-210/8 OEM 10" Woofer 220 Watts 8ohm Replacement Speaker, Black

I have a pair of Radio Shack T120 tower speakers I purchased back in the ‘80s. I had replaced the 10” woofers about 20 years ago because the foam surround became so dry and brittle the foam just disintegrated. Now another 20 years later the same thing happened. This time it was easy to find a decent replacement on Amazon without breaking the bank. The original woofers had a unique frame design so the holes don’t really fit the new speakers. I bought these little metal brackets (I think they were mirror clips, too long ago to remember) and they clamp the woofer snugly. I’m quite happy with these 3-way speakers and I think they sound much more natural than a lot of more expensive speakers that you can buy today. The Goldwood woofers seem to be well made and the bass frequencies sound great and I haven’t even played them long enough to break them in. So they should sound even better after a few more hours. I’m using an old Onkyo TX-8511 receiver and the woofers should easily handle the power at the moderately high volume I usually play. I don’t hear any noise or distortion. I’ll update this review later when I’ve had a chance to really put them to the test. So far I think these woofers are a great value!

I have a vintage pair of circa 1991 Cerwin Vega L9 floor standing speakers. The surrounds finally deteriorated and one of the two ripped the cone when it separated. Torn between replacing the entire set or repairing with replacement parts until I ran across these Goldwood Sound woofers. Considering the cost and good reviews I decided to go the repair route. I'm really please with that decision. These woofers appear to be well made. The baskets are metal, power handling specs. were adequate for my application and they were a drop in fit replacement. After replacing the original CV woofers with the new Goldwood Sound woofers, I couldn't be happier. I didn't realize just how bad the original speakers had started sounding over the years. The GS woofers really delivered in all aspects and I'm happy with the purchase.

My old speaker system has been sounding a little shabby lately, about the last 10 years. I decided it was about time to see what was wrong. When I pulled the grill off the front I found the 8 inch woofers in both speakers had fallen apart, no wonder the sound was so bad. The mid and HF speakers were still in good shape so I decided to put in some new woofers. I was able to find the Goldwood Sound GW-210/8 OEM 10" Woofer 220 Watts 8 ohm Replacement Speaker on Amazon at a very good price. The original woofers are 8" but the 10" woofers had the same frame size diameter so I knew they would fit in my cabinets. After a little work I turn on my system and they sounded great. Amazon made it so easy to get exactly what I needed.

A reasonable replacement for oem woofer in Advent Legacy I just couldn’t part with. The lack the punch of the originals by a hair, but they’re very close, and the price is incredible. The fit is exact, and replacement is a two minute job. I had refoamed both, but one had other problems. My plan was to replace both woofers, but the match was close enough that I only replaced one for now. THIS WOOFER REQUIRES SEVERAL HOURS OF BREAK IN, SO DON’T JUDGE AT INSTALLATION.

I was very happy to find replacement speakers at such an affordable price. They worked with my existing elements and were easy to install. The wires just connected to the terminals without any problems. My music sounds awesome now just like 30 years ago.

First speaker needed to be returned. Got a new one the next day.

Used them as replacements for my jukebox! Perfection!!

Altamente recomendables los instale en un proyecto de baffles que realize y se oyen muy bien, bajos muy aceptables sin distorcion audible a alto volumen quedaron perfectos en mi proyecto .
