Earphones are fine, but mic output seems to have gotten a little low. Working, but somewhat insensitive. Still, 6 years from a $15 headset? Amazing value. Sound is very natural, both mic and earphones. Not quite as good as my $150 Shure earphones, but fine for speech and casual use. I'm very pleased, though I'm going to get a new pair to restore mic volume. (It's an electret mic, and they die with age.) Mechanically, nothing has broken or worn out, unlike two sets of Shure SRH840 "Professional" headphones.Note, these came out when sound cards had separate connectors for the mic and ear phones, so you'll need a $9 adapter to use this headset with a modern laptop with a single mic/ear phone connector.
