Can these pedals fit a btwin mountain bike for my little lad

Hi, most bikes ( bmx/ mountain bikes etc) have standard pedal threads, these should fit just fine, note that the right pedal will only fit on the right hand side same as left will only fit on left side.

Is an allen key required for fitting? If so, what size?
