Overall love this glucometer set. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my pregnancy and had to go through a crash course of diabetes solutions without full insurance coverage for all of the higher tech stuff which is usually contingent on diabetes type for most U.S. insurance plans. This set was easy to use and was compatible with the excellent mySugr app, which allowed me to track my readings for Dr.s visits. For a total newb like me who found the whole experience very overwhelming it was a great product to have. Some people mention that it will randomly stop importing readings. I found it to be completely reliable. The one or two times it did not import automatically is because I either needed to: make sure the mySugr app was open when I turned the glucometer on or to check to make sure the bluetooth settings on my phone were switched on. The only caveat I will add here is that the test strips are not included by all insurance brands and can be very pricey, so make sure to check your plan before purchasing.

Verdict: 5★ — this meter gives fast, consistent readings so I’m not second‑guessing the numbers when I’m checking sugar levels. I keep it in my bag and glovebox so it’s easy to test on the go, and the display is bright enough to read in the truck or in a dim room without squinting. Q&A: Accuracy — readings stay very close when I test back‑to‑back, and the strips don’t seem overly sensitive to tiny mistakes; Ease of use — strips slide in cleanly, small blood sample is enough, and the one‑button design makes it simple even when I’m tired; Comparison — more modern and easier to read than older style meters with tiny screens. Who this is for: Anyone who needs a reliable daily meter and wants clear numbers without a bunch of confusing menus.

While the machine itself is fantastic, the included storage travel bag is a huge disappointment. The material feels incredibly cheap and flimsy. It is simply not strong or rigid enough to protect a delicate piece of medical equipment from accidental drops, crushing weight, or daily wear and tear in a backpack or purse.

This was purchased to check for hypoglycemia episodes when I have dizziness/weakness due to medication side-effects. Monitor worked as advertised. Came with all needed components inside box (including 20 test strips & lancets). Storage bag is a handy addition, although not high quality. Setup was simple and instructions easy to follow. Results appear reasonably accurate (I took a fasting CBG and result was similar to a very recent fasting venous glucose level done through my primary care provider) although I am unable to completely confirm accuracy. Shipping was prompt and no issues with delivery. The box for this item was tossed in a shipping bag with several liquid items that were ordered at the same time - fortunately nothing spilled this time.
