Why do these have climbing in photos even though they arent rated for climbing? False advertising

Actually, the question was a really good one, fellow Kindle Customer!!! Truth in advertising is CRITICAL for all of us who shop online. It would be nice to know that Amazon has the CUSTOMER’s back in these difficult times and merchandise that is returned due to not living up to the advertising COSTS ALL OF US!

What is the diameter of the 2.25, 2.75, and 3.15? I’d like to buy the highest weight capacity that fit through a 3/8” pulley eyelet.

I bought the 3.15" hook. The diameter is 5/16".

Is there a top or bottom to this carabiner, for example, does it matter which end holds the chain of a porch swing and which attaches to the hanger?

Don't believe it matters, right side up or upside down the strength is going to be the same. Small end to the rope or chain and the large to the object is the normal way.
