These are great bars that we have been eating for years. It's convenient to buy them here on Amazon, but Amazon does not ship them in their normal retail box. The bars have obviously been shipped and stored at the warehouse in bulk. You get 12 of them loosely packaged in a plain brown cardboard box. Because of all the banging around during shipment they are fractured inside and crumble apart when you try to eat them. A lot of the bar will wind up on your shirt or on the floor. Too bad. A great product, poorly packaged by Amazon.

Bars were "stale," hard, chalk-like. Disappointing!

I have been buying these bars for a long time after initially discovering them in Costco -- then Costco stopped carrying them. But the bars in the shipment I just received were significantly smaller than the previous shipments have been. They were also not packaged the same way as previous shipments, maybe because their old display boxes were too big and the new ones were not available yet. But for those of us who were regulars with this product, the size difference cannot be overlooked. Time to look for alternative bars!

These are very important items in our healthy routine. They are delicious and crunchy! We always pack them in our travel bags and car consoles for a meal on the go. They are high in protein and fiber and low in sugars. They last quite a few months in the pantry.

This variety has great flavor.

I used to buy these at Costco for years. These bars used to control my blood sugar to prevent spikes and valleys. Great calculated calorie snack for mid-afternoons when I was busy or needed a gentle pick-up. However, these current bars are NOT the old style bars! The new label shows "Betty Lou's Stabilyze Bars," which unfortunately are not equal to the previous bars. The manufacturer has changed the size, consistency, taste and texture of the bars. They barely level out my blood sugar and it drops sooner. The previous bars stabilized my blood sugar for about 2+ hours; the current bars barely last one hour. The 4 stars were given only because the "new" coconut bars are similar to the previous coconut bars in taste. Betty Lou's other flavors (peanut butter, hazelnut, mint chocolate ...) would actually be rated 1-2 stars because they are just short of being uneatable. Those bars are hard to chew and are tasteless. I wish the manufacturer would offer both types (the previous style and the current style) or revert to the old style. I tried ordering from the manufacturer directly, as their website showed an illustration of the old-style bars. I received the NEW bars instead. I tried calling them--number was disconnected; emailing them yielded no response. Not at all pleased with this company.

I’ve bought the three flavor pack before & it comes in a normal Stabilyze box. This one came thrown together in an unmarked brown shipping box. Who knows where these bars came from or how old they are. I’m not happy.
