Best welding hood for the money.
I’m a “weekend welder”, but I weld frequently and take it seriously. I also wear glasses. The optics on this helmet are absolutely phenomenal. If you’re a full time pro, spend the extra money and buy the one with the larger lens. If you’re a fence builder or project maker or even a part time welder, you won’t find a better helmet. It’s comfortable (I spent the entire weekend in it, 20 hours welding with no headache), light, and the increased control from the improved visibility made me a better welder. Zero eye strain. Highly recommend!

Perfect for the price.
This is perfect for a beginner welder. The window is big enough to see the work and that's all you need.

Great for price
Bought this for work as an Ironworker and it works great. I changed the head gear to fit over my hard hat, which was easy to do. This hood is lightweight, has a little bit of flex to it as sometimes I have to fit in tight spaces. The viewing is large and the different shade options give me lots of range to choose from, depending on what process I'm using. It comes with 3 replacement lenses for both inner and outer lens. It also comes with Lincoln stickers. Highly recommend.

Excellent lens and worth upgrading to. Exactly what I bought it for.
I bought this after having the $100 Lincoln "dial-a-shade" option from the local Home Depot. This lens is much nicer and worth the price. It's smaller which took some getting use to, and after using it I realize I don't need a massive window to see what I'm doing. My only complaint is the hood sits close to my face so I can feel my hot breath circulating inside the hood. It could be adjustable and I haven't looked, or it could just be the design of the head gear. I bought this for the lens. This is really my only complaint about the hood. I do wish at this price the headgear was slightly nicer.

Great hood
I've been welding with this hood for over a year and here are the pros and cons: Pro: Light weight. The head harness is outstanding. The 4c lens is top of the line. Batteries are normal AA that can be found anywhere. It is very durable Con: Sometimes the sensors don't pick up and it blinks. Odd out of position welds will sometimes do it.
