Air Flow and Your AllerAir Air Purifier: We've noticed over the years that clients are very particular when it comes to using their AllerAir unit. Some like to run it 24/7, others only at night, some like to run it on high for a few hours then leave it on low for the rest of the day. So is there a science to choosing your air flow rate? This will provide a continuous flow of air that will help keep the air fresh. Chemicals and Odors: For chemical and odor concerns there is a definite consensus ??? low is the way to go. That's due to the specific nature of the activated carbon used in AllerAir air purifiers. Activated carbon contains millions of tiny pores and fissures that trap chemicals, gases and odors. The longer these pollutants are forced to "hang around" in the carbon bed, the better chance they have of being adsorbed.
