Bought these to put under the legs of an ottoman that was sitting on carpet. It was hard to scoot the ottoman around to make it comfortable to have legs up. The ottoman came with tiny button-like acrylic things that were supposedly to make it easier to move the ottoman around, but they were so tiny (about 1 inch or even a little smaller), that they scraped into the carpet. The legs of our ottoman are about 2 inches square, so we bought the 2 inch glides. These work amazingly! So easy to move the ottoman around and the chair is super comfortable to use now. Love that they screw in (which is what we did) so that they won't come off. And the screws are sturdy ones. We were testing these glides before buying another set for the other ottoman, and since they work so well, we are buying another set. Wish they were a couple of dollars cheaper.

Only product I've found that works well on both carpet and hardwood floors - can move my coffee table now as needed.

Have used adhesive felt pads in the past, but they eventually peel off…don’t slide very well any more…and leave hard-to-clean adhesive streaks on your floor. Blech! Found these Gorilla Glides. They are working great. After installing, can move my heavy couches with ease across a tile floor. Really like it’s in two parts and the glide section can be replaced if it wears out. *** Backsaver tip: if your couch feet unscrew from the couch base, unscrew them to mount the glides. *** My Install Method: Tip couches on their backs, unscrew the turned wooden feet, then carry feet to a workbench. Reasonably clean off old adhesive. Then unpeel paper from new glide base, center, and attach. Turn the foot upside down and slot the big screw of the foot between two small pieces of wood. This supports the foot for glide attachment. Drill a pilot hole through the middle base with small drill bit. This makes it easier to screw in the big middle screw. Go slow and steady and you won’t shear off the screw top. If the big screw gives you a lot of resistance, back it out and use the next drill bit size to make your pilot hole wider. I used a combination of a hand screwdriver and small power screw driver. Best to do that last bit by hand. Make sure the screw head is snug to the base and below the ridge. (This will make sense when you look at the base.) The 2” glide also has three small screws per base, went ahead and installed them, too. Didn’t need to drill a pilot hole for them. Now feet are ready to screw back into place! If your couch feet need to go back to an exact corner, when you remove the feet, number them and the corner it came from with a marker. The bottom of my couch feet are a scooch less than 2 inches, so got the two inch glides instead of the next size down and glad I did. There’s a tiny overhang, but once in use, it’s not noticeable. (Figure that tiny sliver of adhesive will eventually fill with dust.) Bought a bag of replacement bottoms, so if one ever wears out or gets knocked off, already have a replacement on hand.

I purchased the glides to put on the legs of my solid wood headboard and footboard. The bed is super heavy and difficult to move on carpet. Once I installed the glides I was able to easily move the bed by myself. I used the single screw in the middle of the glide to secure them. The instructions were very detailed -- they include the size of drill bit needed for each screw size and the 'cap' snapped on easily and securely. Would definitely buy again when I need glides for other furniture.

Easy to install, very sturdy and slide effortlessly

The size is perfect for my barn table and benches. They glide easily on a tumbled slate floor. Unfortunately, the screws are defective. The little ones strip easily when screwing them in as the metal is very thin. The main screw was too think for the wood I have. So I just used my own screws. Thus the 3 stars.

We have a very heavy log futon that was very difficult to move on hardwood floors. These gliders are great! They are easy to put on and stay on. They don’t show at all but make moving the futon so easy. We no longer dread pulling the futon out to make into bed. So happy with them and highly recommend them!

I have a heavy box that was a mare to slide about on the carpet. Added these, which are deeper than most and necessary for the recessed base of the box, and now I can use a finger to move the box around. Great item, well pleased.

Being able to screw in the slide is essential. The cover plate is great feature. Great product. Most stick type are not worth your time.

Worked perfectly for outdoor, cedar coffee table. Held in place with 4 screws. Glides without marking cedar deck.

Have used these type of sliders before for dining chairs and was happy with performance. We purchased these large ones for my daughters double bed so she can slide it away from the wall to make it easier to make. She has thick carpet in her room and these definitely make it easier, not 100% easier although at least 50% better than before and something she can now do on her own.
