So I have bought a couple of dozen grow lights and influenced the buying decision for a charity that bought in bulk from Mars Hydro. This is a good light that performs well. On this model I actually had a problem with the light and I contacted Mars Hydro. They troubleshooted the light with me and when it could not be fixed replaced it. They only required a small payment for shipping the new light.This light had operated in a harsher environment in a greenhouse than many of my other lights. I have found that the Mars Hydro SP3000 lights are more stable in harsher conditions and none of them have failed. They only required a small payment for shipping the new light! What I like best about this Mars Hydro light is the very even coverage I get over a large area.If you want a light with product support, this is a great choice.

Nice looking light. Super bright. Unfortunately the power switch and dimmer failed after a few days of use. Contacted customer support by email and their website contact form m, but haven’t heard back from them yet.Update. Customer service got back to me. Turns out total user error (that’s me). There’s a dimmer switch on the back of the control box. I must have bumped it while adjusting the driver/control box location. Flip that switch and all is back to normal. Customer service contacted me by email and nicely explained my error within 48 hours.

Great light just set up and plug in and off we grow

We received this product on time and open the box in my living room to to test it out and I did have a couple friends over and when I turned it on everybody ran for cover because we thought the sun was in our living room giving off solar flares, caught me off-guard and I really didn't expect to be that bright but mostly curiosity because I'm converting from HPS and MH to LED and I am a techno-geek so I have done lots of research before actually pulling the trigger and making a purchaseset up literally took less than a minute as far as the hardware goes and all the plugs only plugged into a plug of its own type so you can not do it wrongAfter hanging the light I was checking out the Heat it put off and I could literally touch the LEDs and hold my hand there and then I put my hand on top of the controller and it was a little warm but I could hold my hand right on top of it and touch it with no problems as long as I wanted I then sealed up the room in monitor the temperature remotely from another room and the room may have gone up over an hour time. Maybe two or three degrees without having to kick on the air conditioner for that roomI only just installed it but so far so good I'll come back after a month for an update after I check out how it does with gross

DO NOT BUY !!!! I had a Mars Hydro FC6500 in use for just about 2 years. The other day the dimmer failed. I'm no longer able to adjust the intensity. It's either almost no light at all, or the light of the sun in your face. It's taken 5 days of emails with customer service in China to tell me that I can pay $420 for a new lamp right away, or I can pay $20 and wait 2 months for them to ship me a new driver for the lamp. They asked for my personal information as well as PayPal information. It seems all too much like a scam to me. Don't buy from this company. At least buy from one that has customer service here in the USA.Will not buy from Mars Hydro Again !!!

Insanely bright. I describe it as sunlight. Really good for wattage, getting the sp3000 for veg tent nowUpdate. Plants in 1 gallon pots 11/4Transplantes 11/5 in 5 gallons11/11 they are exploding with growth under the fc6500! Iv been trying to dial in how much light they need in my 4.5x4.5 grow tent. Iv upped it to the hash mark just under 75% so far at 22 inches from the top of my canopy with no burning.All I can say is the light is amazing and worth it over old blurples I was running.Update 11/18I realize when you hit 75% on the dimmer it jumps to 100% power draw (tested with wattage meter)So you can run 100% at 24 inches just fine, atleast I was.First day of flower for me. I'm excited to see what it can do!

It only lasted about 9 months before burning out. All connections and power are good and tested. Prior to that it flaked out and flickered numeruous times. It's a good light I believe and has plenty of coverage if it had lasted longer.

I bought a FC 6500 in August of 2021. I liked it. After a year I bought a 2nd FC 6500. During the installation of the 2022 model, the driver for the 2021 model fell, yanking the 120v connection, causing it to sizzle & melt together. I grow in a tent and I like that I can have the drivers outside of it, due to the unwanted heat coming from the drivers. I contacted Mars Hydro and was told no problem, don't worry. They sent me a new cord, adding that if that doesn't fix it, we'll go to the next step. A new cord arrived in a week. The cord is replaced and the light is back on. This is a tuff light! I'm very satisfied, and recommend this light for growing tomatoes and other plants indoors.

Previously to my last review, Mars Hydro has answered my questions regarding the FC6500. They have gone above and beyond my expectations. Very strong light!

Bought a 2nd FC6500 as I was very pleased with my 1st purchase. But product I received was defective as the light rods were not put in the proper holes leaving a wide gap in the middle. Gap is way to wide to safely install light box. Tried putting light box on either side instead of middle but the fixture hangs lower on 1 side.I called customer service and was told not a defect, but a new design and to try installing light box on either side.Unless customer service at Mars Hydro have a change of heart today, I will be returning this product, trying out another brand instead and leaving this review as is.

Good light

I received the light and was packaged well. The light bar spacing did not match the pictures on Amazon and came with a mofo driver instead of the Inventronics driver that was shown in one of the pics. I'm not sure if the light bar configuration is better or not and if the driver was better, all I know it did not match what I ordered. I gave the light a chance but the driver stopped working after 2 weeks or so, I sent the unit back for refund. The pictures need to be updated on Amazon. I had some problems with a Mars grow tent zipper and now this, I'm done with this company. In fairness I must say that I was happy with the light until it stopped working.
