What can you say its a Zebco. Smooth casting but it will get hung up a lot with the pre-spooled line. So I recommend replacing the line as soon as you get it. Easy to use for anyone rather you're a everyday fisher or a once in awhile fisher. It also gives those with hand issues easier fishing experiences. The drags noise level isn't loud but its there. So far the durability has been great.

Perfect fit for replacement of old spincast combo set that was a hand me down. Pre-spooled line has a tab on it to pull through the guides and get you going very quickly and easily. For the price and the set up it is used on you can beat This is mated to a 5 1/2 foot medium light power (cheap) pole. Sure there are better (and much more expensive) reels. This will work just fine for a beginner set up where you don't need the capacity and features of those other reels. The build is fine for what this is, value achieved.

Not the worst reel for your kids first maybe but didn’t take long before the stop on the handle broke or came loose and it j just turns both directions. Makes it hard for kids learning to cast and use his equipment. You probably should just spend more.

Bought this after purchasing an extending rod to put alongside my fisihing backpack. It beats the heck out of the one that came with my pole. Easy to use in small streams without getting it tangled. Love this reel. Works like a charm on the lake, river, and especially the little streams by my home. Going in and out of the willows and tossing a line just below a waterfall is effortless. Love this!

There are those who put this reel down. This year I with the HWWA will host over 350 kids throughout the month of May and first 2 weeks of June. My principal reel Zebco 202 is cost efficient, kid tough and after 10 plus years doing Learn 2 Fish I keep going back to this reel. Yes it does not have a lot of "grown up features" so what,you want something better, pay the price. I also use Zebco 33's but if for some reason a 202 breaks or somehow gets lost, it does not break the bank. Kids especially ages 9 to 14 boys or girls get super excited catching a fish usually resulting in a group huddle of sorts, rods on the ground mud in the gears etc etc. I have a few 202's that the HWWA has been using for over 10yrs. This order of 5 202's is to add on to our collection of 26 giving us 30 ready to go. At $16 each I get what I have always gotten from Zebco a decent entry level tough reel easy to maintain kid friendly, what more do I need. HWWA ..... Where Education Meets the Great Outdoors.

Great reel for me and the kids. Primarily purchased for the kids to have a crack. Line isn't the best line you can buy but perfect for spinning especially as they will inevitable have tangles.
