This chemistry set was absolutely amazing! I bought it for my son, who is a little scientist and loves experimenting, and he couldn’t wait to try every activity. The instructions were easy to follow, the experiments were exciting, and everything felt safe and educational. His favorite parts were making the volcano erupt and launching the rocket. The kit kept him engaged for hours while teaching real science concepts in a fun, hands-on way. With 45 different experiments, there is always something new to discover. Very fun with a good variety of fun well thought out experiments. The instructions were clear and easy for my kiddos to follow along. They loved learning about the different activities. The visuals are fun and its great hands on learning.

Bought this as a gift for my grandson (5), and he was thrilled. We did some of the experiments outside on the back patio the other day, and all the grandkids participated. The chemicals included in the "Stunning Science" kits are fairly innocuous, but if you have more than one child present, get safety googles for each. It's never too early to encourage kids to be conscious of safety. I rated this set as 4 stars because the kids enjoyed the experiments. But don't expect multi-colored explosions of the sort that are pictured on the box. The experiments are much more tame than that. I thought the worst part of the kit was the volcano mold, which requires assembly. There are three "wall" parts, a base, and a rubber band that is somehow supposed to hold it all together. The three "wall" parts don't actually snap together so there are substantial openings where the walls meet but don't clamp together. If your plaster is at all runny, it will leak right back out, so be sure to follow the instructions closely. The chemicals come in small sealed foil packets. Once they are opened, you can't easily reseal them. Have some small resealable baggies to put the packets in if you don't use up everything so you have them properly labeled. I think getting a plastic tray, foil baking pan, or something similar will contain the mess better than the cardboard tray included in the kit. You can buy citric acid and baking soda at the grocery store if you use up what you received in the kits and the kids still want to repeat some experiments like the rocket ones. I think this kit is good for stimulating young kids interest in science. Older kids will need a little more variety in experiments.

This is exactly the quality item I expected from National Geographic. My 13 y/o Grandson LOVED it! Kept him busy the whole week. I would highly recommend. There are quite a number of experiments — all of which are exciting and a few that didn’t work as expected but he was still involved, committed and learning. This didn’t disappoint. Great purchase.

Me encanta este kit para introducir la química a niños pequeños. Contiene varios experimentos y los materiales extra que requieren se encuentran fácilmente en casa (agua, jabón para trastes). Lo mejor de todo es que cada experimento contiene una explicación sencilla sobre lo que ocurre y tanto los padres como los niños pueden comprenderlo.

experimentos fáciles de hacer y de impacto para los niños, las porciones de químicos que contiene creo se quedan un poco cortas, sin embargo alcanza para hacer todos los experimentos al menos una vez. Todas las instrucciones están solo en inglés.

Los materias son de muy buena calidad, las actividades son muy interesantes, pero el problema es que las instrucciones están en inglés y para un niño que no domina el idioma si está muy complicado.
