Comparison to Sporti silicone fins - Seeking a replacement to my Sporti silicone fins that have sadly been discontinued by Swim Outlet, I bought the Gintenco silicone swim fins in black, size MEDIUM. The toe area doesn't seem to rub uncomfortably and the material feels soft, comfortable, and decent quality - I can't wait to try them out in the water! I typically wear a size 7 women's shoe. Having recently used the Birkenstock sizing tool, my foot length is approx 9.2 in or 235mm. The size of these fins is comparable to my Sporti size Y4-5 or W6. I needed a lightweight fin and until now was unable to find one to rival the Sporti. Enter the Gintenco fin... One size W6 Sporti silicone fin weighs 11.2 oz or 318g, but one Gintenco silicone fin weighs 10.2oz or 290g! The fin part is shaped differently, but the surface area appears similar (see comparison photos). Okay, today I tried them out during my 2000 meter lap swim. When my Sportis wear out, these just might be my back ups. As with my Sporti fins, I wore a neoprene fin sock (see photo) so they were very comfy.
