Ice Cream Scoop (Size 16)

To be honest, I had my doubts about this little scoop. It is filled with anti-freeze, and so requires special handling, can not be put through the dishwasher. I bought it after reading a review of a similar model which indicated this it is what is used in in ice cream parlors. It was inexpensive enough that I thought worth taking a chance on. I have nicely designed scoop from Zyliss Zyliss Right Scoop Assorted Colors which I love, however... I made some ice cream for my son's birthday with a fabulous recipe from the New York Times. It tastes great, if you can get it out of the container. It is a very dense, rich ice cream which froze very solid. It has taken quite a bit of work to get any out with my regular scoop, but this has worked like magic. I never would have considered purchasing a scoop filled with anti-freeze until I saw that review, so Thank you to whoever recommended it, and I am passing that recommendation on, as I a finding that this works quite well, well enough that I intend to buy another in a different size (because I like that recipe too).

I don’t consider myself an ice cream scoop fanatic and I don’t write in depth reviews, but after trying this? I’m about to order the bigger size as well. I was looking for something with the feel and functionality of the original (barely vintage) pampered chef ice cream scoops, but an easier to clean version. I almost purchased the Zeroll brand .. but 26$ for an ice cream scoop? In this economy? Absolutely not. I bought this one and was surprised by how light it was, I was expecting a heavier scoop, but the weight is sturdy enough to to be put use but light enough for disabled/elderly people who might have trouble using heavy metal utensils. I tested it with rock hard ice cream straight of out the back of my freezer, IMMEDIATELY cut through it like butter with perfectly shaped scoops. I don’t think I’ve ever been more impressed in my life by something so simple. 15/10.

Do not put this scooper in the dish washer. It gets very discolored.

Works exactly as it should, makes scooping sooooo much easier. Can't believe I didn't do this sooner; much more comfortable than just a spoon for scooping.

Completely ruined after a couple uses. Not dishwasher safe! The warning is printed on the side. It being 2022 I didn’t think a kitchen utensil would not be able to go into the dishwasher… I was sorely mistaken. As a result the scooper was rubies and left a black residue throughout my dishwasher.

This scooper really works! Easy grip and cuts right through ice cream right out of freezer. Makes nicely formed scoops for cones. Pricey, but watch for sales. I’ve purchased for family as well.

This is the only icecream scooper I'll weber use again! I had to check my freezer temp thinking the icecream was too soft, but it just works THAT good! The design of the handle feels comfortable in your hand. It's lightweight. **DO NOT PUT IN TIME DISHWASHER ** it will ruin the silver colored finish.

I am no pro but an average home owner who has bent or broken every scout to cross my path. This scoup seams sturdy by design and magical in it's ease through ice cream, may be due to it's shape but the effort required is 75% less than my last scoup.

Do not buy. The inside filled with water after one quick initial hand wash. Garbage.

It is easy to use this to scoop up hard ice cream. Just need to remember never put it in dishwasher.

I was disappointed by this item because it is not dishwasher safe, and this was not clearly stated in the listing. To me, commercial grade means it would be washed by dishwasher, not by hand. If you are ok with hand washing, it is a nice weight and a good size.
