Get Synology Assistant....super easy
This is my first was. I found it super easy to set up. Within 10-15 minutes I had set up my storage pool, volume and then shared folders (do it in that order) then set up users and my quick connect account and now my wife can log in from her web browser and or via mapped drive on her PC....I've seen post where people have been trying first weeks....I don't know why...just get synology assistant from the synolgy website and its almost plug and play...check you tube for some really useful set up vids if you struggle...loving this nas

Didn’t work
This product could not be found by the NAS installation software even though it could be found on the network. I am awaiting a replacement in about 3 weeks
