I bought this because I live in SW Florida, where summers are quite hot and humid, so I needed something that would flow a lot of air and not trap heat. I also did a lot of research on summer riding gear and read a lot of reviews, and after reading several reviews on this jacket from riders that had gone down while wearing it and not only reported no injuries but also that the jacket itself was undamaged, I bought it. And I can emphatically say that I am not disappointed! First, the fit. I am 6'1" and 170 pounds, and the large is perfect. It fits skin tight like athletic under armor, so the pads all stay exactly where they should be, yet it's so stretchy and flexible that you don't even consciously notice it after the first minute or so. It never pinches, bunches up or feels uncomfortable in any way. It stays down in back, the sleeves stay tucked into my gloves and don't ride up my arms when I'm riding, and the pads don't move around from where you position them when you put it on. And since it's hot weather gear, it's biggest feature, the ventilation/breathability, is superb. It doesn't trap heat when you're stopped at a traffic signal, and when you're moving it's like you don't even have it on it breathes so well. The pads are also excellent. Very flexible, cover the right areas without being intrusive or annoying, and the stay in place perfectly. My one complaint, and it's minor, is the black stripes across the tops of the shoulders. When you're at a stop the sun heats these up a little, but it's not an issue while you're moving. If you could get this with a lighter color than black on the shoulders it would be perfect. It would also be nice if there was a band-type collar to give your neck a little sun protection, but that's not even a criticism, just a wish on my part. I highly recommend this jacket for hot weather riding. You won't be disappointed. I love it.

Better Quality Than I Expected – Comfortable and Practical The quality is honestly better than I expected. One of my biggest concerns was that it would be too hot to wear, but I was pleasantly surprised. To me, it doesn’t feel much different than wearing a long-sleeve cotton shirt. I personally wear a shirt underneath, which works perfectly for me. It’s comfortable, easy to put on and remove, and I can quickly fold it up, put it in my backpack while I do my shopping, and put it right back on when I’m ready to ride again. The adjustable fit is also excellent. It stays securely in place, and the outside adjustments are extremely quick and easy to use. The zipper feels strong and very good quality. Even so, I would recommend handling it with reasonable care when opening and closing it, just as I would with any protective gear I want to last a long time. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the quality, comfort, fit, and convenience. It exceeded my expectations and I definitely recommend it.

I was a little hesitant about this but Im very pleased with it! I am 5'4" 230Lbs. Another woman's review is what really convinced me to give this a try. I ordered the 2XL and its like skin tight but not uncomfortable so. Now the reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is simply because it's not absolutely perfect. I needed this to zip up not only over my belly but also my chest which is always a problem with tighter fitting clothes. It was a bit tough but I can manage to get it zipped up. I do wish the total length of the torso section was longer to compensate for the extra use of fabric over my chest but other than that, its a great piece! I felt like the armor pads are perfectly snug and right where they need to be. The sleeves are not extremely long and the mesh fabric feels very breathable. I haven't gone out riding with it yet but I can already tell I will feel so much more comfortable in this than my $300 outer jacket I bought a few months ago. As a new rider and a larger than average female rider, I have been struggling to find gear that I am comfortable in and well protected! The price value for this is great and the appearance is pretty subtle under my shirt and hoodie. shoulders look a little chunky but I am totally ok with that! All in all a great purchase!

I wore this armored mesh shirt every day while riding my Honda bike to and from work during the long summer months of Texas. I would wash it about every three months or so, and with all that wear it has lasted four years before the fabric finally began developing holes in it. Considering I paid $80 (incl tax) for it, I consider this a solid investment. I never got into any accidents while wearing it, so I can't speak to how effective the protection is, but it does come with CE level 2 armor and the fabric (when new) felt like it could withstand scraping against pavement at low speeds. So I'd say this is a very good product that can potentially provide very good protection -- all whilst keeping riders as cool as possible in 100+ degree weather.

obsessed with this product will worth the price, its thick on the padding as it should and very breathable all else wear has shoulder, elbow and back padding. you can wear it in all seasons for this winter i wearied it on top of my shirt and then a hoodie over and keep me nice and warm and protected, for summer time i will be wearing it by its self since its mish material in a way so let's air flow when riding which i love for the summer without being too hot, it's very durable i love the style it is , I'm a plus size girly 5'7 232LB and got a 2XL and its normal fitted and i do have more of a belly so sizing wasn't that bad and when wearing helmet it doesn't affect or interfere with movements at all

The shirt is fine and fits well but they use thick pads with very little or no holes, so it kind of partially defeats the purpose of this being a ventilated shirt. I’m not going to return it, but I think you can do a lot better for not much more money.

This jacket fits well, with all the protect you will need if you fall off your bike. Chest, back, shoulder, elbow and forearms are covered. It keep you cool because it mesh. I purchased the neon orange boy can I be seen. It is nice to know the protect is there also.

well ventilated and maybe a touch too tight. The padding is quality and feels solid. I am 220lbs 6ft and ordered an XL. should have bought a XXL for a slightly less tight shirt. Works ok tho. Perfect for summer riding. Not sure how the mesh would hold up on a slide.

Quality material and construction. Light-weight fabric will be great for summer riding and still give the security of enhanced safety. I intend to wear the protection under a jean jacket on warmer days rather than my heavier riding jacket with armor. Only a 4 star because the sizing was a guess for me - I ordered an XL to avoid an overly snug fit, being female and unsure of how the sizing/measurements would apply to the female form. My only recommendation would be a sizing chart that compares standard male/female sizing to help ensure desired fit. I could have gone with a large and still achieved protection with a better fit.

Good inexpensive armoured mesh shirt. Armour is only on elbow joint, shoulder joint & upper spine. Short is thin mesh and is cool in hot weather ( why I purchased it). I’m happy with it.
