Very useful product to get rid of kitchen basin choke ups. In India must be used with ELC 300-Watt Voltage converter 220 v to 110 v travel power converter from Amazon. Needs to be installed by plumber

Item -waste king garbage disposal came in cracked. Smoke everywhere on first use. Item was delivered on June 29th and return was closed on July 1st. Only ONE DAY GIVEN FOR RETURN. Tried for return several times. NO USE. They say return day is passed, keeping repeating same. It’s a 23,000 rupees item. Practically told me to throw away this and get a new one. GREAT SERVICE AMAZON !!!

The product stopped functioning after just 2–3 uses. I contacted the seller through the Amazon app, and their response was that they are only responsible for selling the product and do not provide any service. A local technician examined the item and informed me that it is not compatible with the power supply standards in India.

Worst product, Worst service. When the time of purchase it was showing 5 years warranty. With in a month it stopped working. No option showing for product support. Even there is no option to reach out Amazon customer care.

You are selling this product in India, at double the price of the one available in USA. We purchased it here because of Supply Voltage compatibility. Still when I am finding here, that you are sending same product as USA with a power supply of 115 Volts. Where in India do you find 115 V power supply ?

Pros: Cheap Easy to install Lots of power Cons: Not enough noise to scare the cats off the counter anymore After moving out of an apartment with a disposal into a house that didn't have one, I really started to notice how much organic waste was thrown into the trash and since it was just two of us it would sit for a week for garbage day. I looked hard around at stores near by and at online reviews for them. They were all 300+ and didn't have as many good reviews as this one. I risked it and couldn't be happier. I received it in less than a day for a small fee(something like 5$ more). Ordered Monday and got it Tuesday around noon. The install was simple and the Easy Connector that was included was a breeze to put together. I do recommend doing what it says in the manual and put the whole system together outside of the sink. The power is amazing. It shreds everything. The only thing I haven't tried is banana peels which my old disposal had problems with. The noise level is on par with what you would expect from a 1hp motor. It was actually quieter than our old one but I'll chalk that up to the age of it. There is a slight "ting" sound if you turn the motor on with no waste down the drain. I assume it is from the actual moving bits inside hitting the stoppers, but if there is food it there you don't hear it. It's been install for about a month now and had no problems at all with it. Would defiantly recommend this one.

First comment (and this does not affect my rating of the actual product) - I ordered a new one of these and the product I received was clearly used, damaged, and missing parts. That was disappointing. Amazon was great about quickly resolving the problem through the simple return/exchange process, but it was an unnecessary frustration. I had the replacement within 5 days of filing the claim online. Now the review: First Impression - I installed the disposal this past weekend and so far it seems to work great. I originally looked at this unit after reading the high rating by consumer reports... and the user reviews seemed to back that up. Noise - It is much quieter than I expected, but it is still a high power garbage disposal so it is obviously going to make some noise (plus noise is going to depend on what you jam into it - and it can handle a lot!). For comparison sake, I replaced a 1/2 hp disposal with this 1hp disposal, and the 1hp disposal is significantly quieter when not grinding. That being said, I much less concerned running it when kids are sleeping. Quality & value - The build quality seems very good, and the solid warranty is a nice perk (although very unlikely it would ever get used vs just replacing the unit one day). The price was also very reasonable. Installation - Wow. Super easy to install. You truly could have this thing installed within 5-10minutes after removing your existing disposal. It could be a 15min job in total. If you need to hardwire the unit, it is very easy, although I found pulling the factory cord off to be more challenging than it should be (my unit used a rubber fitting to hold the cord in place versus a clamp - easy enough to deal with, but could have been easier). It is definitely worth noting that this unit is large. So if you are replacing a smaller disposal, you should check your under-sink plumbing configuration to determine if it will fit. In my case, I had to redo some of the pipe configurations under the sink (if the builder laid it out better, this wouldn't have been an issue). If you are not handy with plumbing, you will want to check this before buying, or plan on using a plumber. If it will fit, anyone could install this unit. So far, so good. I would recommend this product.

The box already gave it away, it looked old and as if it had been opened before, looking inside the disposal confirmed the suspicion, the disposal had been used, there was food inside. Hope it was only for testing, could have been in use for a year also, who knows....

This "garbage disposal" works well as an apple masher. There are many examples of using them for this purpose on the internet; I chose this one because it looked simple to mount and use, and was inexpensive. Perhaps the best feature of it is that it hasn't over-heated and shut itself off. It just keeps running although I am feeding apples continuously into it. It mounted easily, and I have the discharge pipe feeding into a larger piece of new PVC pipe to the bucket below. It is vibration-free, and easy and efficient to use. It uses a standard 3-prong 120V electrical connection. The first picture is of the basic set-up, while the second picture shows the full set-up, complete with mash. (The plastic knife acts as a wedge to keep the PVC pipe in place. It is easy to clean - I just run water from a garden hose into it. The masher is easy to disassemble although the grinding surface cannot be taken off (remember, these things are not meant to be maintained by the user). I am thoroughly pleased with it for this purpose.
