Are these sleeves opaque to UV light? I want to put my records in a room that receives a lot of direct sunlight, and don't want the covers to fade.

The covers are clear and I don’t think they would block direct sunlight.

Are these hard (rigid) or soft? I have bought both and prefer the rigid ones as the soft ones are like 'saggy underpants'.

Hi, these are not the stiff ones that can stand up by themselves (how bad does this sound), they are not the weakest i have had either.....they will protect but are easy to get out of...i would say they are the highest on the budget range and low on the extreme collector range.
