Very cute decor, love that I can continue to use after the holidays. Works for winter too. But as others have said, the cardinal, which appears to attach to the ruler via a post, does not. It comes with 2 screws and no pilot holes to show where to apply. I improvised and applied to the hat with silicon. I am very happy with the result. Did have a few dings and dents, not a big deal. Mine had all parts included. Not sure how lights work yet, will update.Note that this is decorative, not an actual snow gauge! Unless you can figure out how to install with ruler sitting on ground.

The cardinal does not attach as pictured. It comes with two VERY TINY screws, which seem to be impossible to screw into the wooden ruler. I have tried for an hour, with no success. If I can't figure out a way to attach the cardinal, I am going to return this item. Except for this, the product is great.

The snowman is super cute as decor but not a very practical product for accurately measuring snow. The metal stand that secures it in the ground does not allow the measuring stick to start measurements at ground level. You would have to add about 2” to your snow measurement. The snowman is also very small. Only measures up to 15” and not a good fit for regions that get lots of snow. The red bird has screws to attach to wood measuring stick. I was unable to get the screws to start so I discreetly attached the bird with a piece of white gorilla tape in the back and another loop of tape between the bird and measurement stick. Seems a bit wobbly with wind. We’ll see how it holds up with this week’s forecast for gusty weather.

This was exactly what I was looking for but there were pieces missing so I had to improvise attaching the cardinal to the snowman.

With the stand it doesn't meet the ruler with the ground so it won't actually measure snowfall ( which my kids were really excited to have it do). Also lights stopped working as soon as i put it up outside.

I gave this item 4 stars because we cannot figure out how to attach the little bird. Our winters are fairly mild so I am not sure how well this would hold up in icey, snowy, windy, weather.

I like it. Just looks fairly short. Another 6-10 inches of height would be preferable.

this is a cute metal snowman with little fairy lights on the ruler part. Its not bright at all. Its also not very tall. It is pretty sturdy, so no complaint there. I purchased it because I thought there was a set of 2 . Was it worth the price ? No. Shipping was quick.
