As a huge fan of Japanese culture, I love the aesthetic and look of this lunch box. The top layer of the lunch box is a little small, but good for snacks and cookies. I haven’t tested to see if the box is leak proof, but I wouldn’t even attempt to put a soup or liquid in it loose. I have gotten many complements on this lunch box at work. I would definitely recommend!

I lived in Hawaii for 11 years. Are used a bento box for lunch. But I had not used a wooden two-tier Bento box like this. I love the size, I love the ease of use and ease to clean. I also love it has a travel bag and the utensils, as well as the elastic band. I really really love it.

Comes new in a nice packaging as shown. Hope wood material last in years. Needs to expose product in air for a few days before use due to the stains used in wood.

Utensils are comically large. Box is ridiculously thin and cheap feeling. I’m sure this would warp if trying to clean it. Better for a gift box than a container for food.

i bought this because it looked pretty large, however, it seems about the same size as others on Amazon. the compartments are not watertight when stacked , and they must be held together by an elastic band. it's pretty difficult to get the band on when its full of food, and i would not try putting anything watery that might leak unfortunately. Finally, the dividing line that comes with only fits in one area and does not seem to be very snug. the fork and spoon that it come with is comically large- i think they're too big to reasonably use with this lunch set. However the chopsticks are fine. and come with a cute fabric case to wrap them in. the bag that the box is held in is a nice pattern but feels cheap quality and is a simple draw string. EDIT: Just an update after a few weeks of use. The drawstring for the bag broke as soon as i washed it; the utensil case held up fine but the color faded. The lunchbox does leak (makes sense, no gasket) but it doesn't keep strong odors. However, it does feel very fragile whenever i wash it. It's a cute design, but altogether not super durable or practical for most.
