Looking to buy the headsets, already have a pair and charging station. Will a new set of headsets fit on the existing charging station?

Yes, the new headsets will fit on the charging station, which can pair with up to two HDR 175 headphones. It is very simple to pair the new headsets with the charging station by following the instructions included in the box.

Does this product come without the base or does it come complete? Also, does it work without the base?

You can purchase the headset with or without the base, but in any case the base is required to connect to your TV or Receiver as well as send the RF signal to the headset(s) to work at all. You can connect up to two headsets to work with a base.

Does the tv sound need to off to use these?

The RS 175 system connects to your TV set's optical digital audio port. You can still control your TV speakers independently. In other words, you can have the TV sound on or off without affecting the headphones.

Can I use this headset with previous version of charging docks

I have an older RS 170 base. The HDR 175 docks on it well, but it seems to stop charging after a short period of time. The charging indicator then starts going on and off again every few seconds. This makes me nervous about ruining the batteries or even the headset. I can confirm that HDR 175 is fully compatible with the RS 195 system. It fits perfectly on the base for charging, and can be paired to receive the signal as a second headset.
