It does NOT work NEARLY as good as a hair iron. But it does relax the curl & frizz some. And it does save time if ya don't care if it's not as soft & silky as you really want it. I would recommend it for anyone who works & has little time, or who just doesn't want to spend 30 minutes ironing their hair. But I expected better.You DO have to HOLD the hair at the bottom as you bring the brush down thru the hair.
