They’ve stretched the limits of our indoor camera with use cases we never anticipated and conditions we thought impossible. They made makeshift outdoor housings out of milk jugs, 3D printings, and bird houses. They’re tenacity to go beyond our prescribed instruction has made it clear we need to meet them with a camera that can keep up with their curiosity. Capturing the world can’t happen when you’re limited to your living room, so we created a camera that goes beyond that. We spent two years on phone calls that carried into the next morning; on international flights where sleep became a luxury; and on user interviews listening to what you wanted to see in an outdoor camera. All leading up to a camera worthy of looking after your home and those within it. We cut wires, removed boundaries, and lab tested under every extreme condition imaginable. We’ve built you a battle-hardened camera capable of going places your indoor camera wouldn’t even dream about—thriving in the rains of Seattle all the way to the heatwaves of Miami and everything in between. Performance-packed hardware and software found in cameras 3x the price weren’t added to win an award. They were added to earn your respect. ## Features - Battery powered and wire-free: Mount it anywhere and leave it there. Or is it just stand alone ready to go and no additional fees?** A: Without subscription, it will only record image. The Lite subscription is "pay what you want." The recommended amount is $2.48/month. I've read that some people set it at zero. Lite sub will give you 12 secs of recording. **Q: What is the range from base?** A: I have 7 of these cameras on a site where we have 11 short term vacation rental cabins - the site is 1 acre and I have the 7 cameras scattered about and all work great. Some are 100' from the base stations. Love these cameras **Q: To many reviews about this camera and bad wifi connection.are they true? Does the battery really holds for 2 months without recharging?** A: It depends on activities. Outdoor cams don't record continuously (unless you set it to). The cam would be asleep most of the time. It wakes up when the motion/heat sensors get triggered. So more activities = more awake time = higher power consumption. For reference, I set this cam to record continuously on my first night. It went from 99% to 69% in about 8 hours. So, about 30% every 8 hours or 90% battery per day. As for the wifi, it depends on obstruction. I got it to work through 3 walls (drywall) at about 100ft away from the base. Although, I just recently purchase an add-on cam (v2) and synced it with this base. It couldn't maintain a stable connection through 1 wall + 20ft. **Q: How long does the battery last? How often do you have to recharge the batteries?** A: Mine have lasted up to 7 months before needing recharging. I have one that faces the drive and main entrance and it see little traffic, that lasts the longest. One catches the cat 30 times a day plus me and others in the house. That one lasts about 6-8 weeks between charges. All are outside more or less in the open and cold weather down to -5 F doesn’t seem to be much of a factor either so far. Very impressed with how long the battery’s last --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/236600554-wyze-cam-outdoor-add-on-camera-1080p-hd-indoor-outdoor](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/236600554-wyze-cam-outdoor-add-on-camera-1080p-hd-indoor-outdoor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
