I purchased this for my home. The price was right, but it only gives me a very slight improvement in reception on my scanner. I expected better, but then it again, it was very inexpensive.

I pick up nothing with this antenna, despite it being marketed as a wide-range option. The stock rubber ducky antenna that came with my scanner performs significantly better. I expected to receive much more with this antenna due to its long cable and the ability to mount it closer to the outside of my house. I even tested it outside and still couldn’t receive any radio traffic. I would not recommend using this. Even though it is cheap, it is still a waste of money. Save your money and look for a better-quality antenna.
